Anonymous, 11 Dec 2024Yeah, Xiaomi's current strategy for the global market ... moreFunny enough, I just realized that they don't sell the 128GB variant of Redmi Pad Pro / Poco Pad here. And thankfully, both also included the charger inside the box. The only thing that differentiate them are Poco Pad is IDR300k ($19) cheaper. So technically there's no reason to buy Redmi Pad Pro except if you prefer that one color that's not available on the Poco Pad.

Anonymous, 11 Dec 2024Or when pro+ note is too close in starting price to vanilla... moreYep, that too. The Note 13 Pro+ launched for $377 in my country, but for just $30 more, you could already afford the Xiaomi 13T, which was way better than the Note 13 Pro+ in just about every way except for the charging speed.

403 Forbidden, 11 Dec 2024> so buying a Poco still equates to buying a Xiaomi. ... moreYeah, Xiaomi's current strategy for the global market baffles me.

The most egregious is perhaps the Redmi Pad Pro and the Poco Pad. Both tablets are identical, and are priced the exact same here, but for some reason the Poco Pad comes with double the storage (256GB compared to 128GB on Redmi Pad Pro), and a charger inside the box (Redmi Pad Pro doesn't come with a charger).

Because of this, there's virtually NO reason to pick the Redmi Pad Pro over the Poco Pad since every sensible person can agree that the Poco Pad is the superior choice - more storage and charger included.

Honestly though, why couldn't just Xiaomi sell the Redmi Pad Pro with 256GB storage and a charger included in the box instead of making a duplicate device with a different name that is sold for the same price, but offers more? It just doesn't make sense on a business standpoint.

I think Xiaomi needs to rethink their business strategy immediately.

You mean Redmi? But yeah I understand what do you mean. Though those "Redmi" versions are China-exclusive, after all. Dunno why don't they ditch the Poco lineup and just bring the China-exclusive Redmi here in global market.

Agree with the rest of ur comment, though.

403 Forbidden, 10 Dec 2024Redmi and Realme used to be a performance-centric back then... moreThat performance-centric role only applies to the Poco X Pro and Poco F series. Not the Poco C, Poco M, and non-Pro Poco X series.

Besides, most Poco devices (except for the F1, X3, and X3 Pro) are basically just rebranded Redmi devices, so buying a Poco still equates to buying a Xiaomi.

                      9k - redmi A4 (5G)
                      10k - G45 (8+128)
                      12k - redmi 13(value)
                      13k - iqoo z9x(speed)
                      15k - CMF (?)
                      17k - narzo 70 turbo (game)
                      18k -Z9s(beauty)
                      20k - Edge 50 Neo (camera)
                      Above that Nord(flagship killer)
And Above that samsung FE (flagship competitor)

Only 10 phones then flagship then iPhone

So the best place/price for Redmi Note 14 is at 15k level only (shouldn't be in 20k territory)

Anonymous, 09 Dec 2024True... Disappointing launch. Especially the pricing. Shouldn't be more than 15k(after all offers) for starting model if it's Note

Weak processor! I would like to have the pro models but they don't have the 3.5mm jack, so skipping.

proximity (ultrasonic) is the same old inner beauty trash virtual sensor by elliptic labs. only a new name for the same scam.
