Yes i said gaming because gaming needs most power but even good camera needs better chipset, many various apps for utilizing photography and many else.
Othervise most of us would be hapy with average mediatek or SD 6 gen 1 or so.

The Poco F6 with 8s gen 3 or the Poco F6 Pro with 8 gen 2 can't compete with flagships like Samsung S24 Ultra or iPhone 16 pro max. But people don't complain about their performance because for the price they are exceptional. For the price of the pixel, it's a rip off.

They just act like they NEED it. Same with cameras, majority of people complaining about camera quality don't need anything fancy, something to point and shoot with a clear photo out the other end is fine. No one here is a wedding photographer lol

I was an avid chat GBT user but now 60 /40 in Geminis favour. It's improved significantly and has been better at more thoughtful graphics of late. I also like how it gives you 3 choices of styles of reply to a letter or for a post.

Google really needs to go back to the basics next year. They used to do such a good job of squeezing so much value out of budget hardware with the a series. Now all they do is push stupid ai features that Google literally admitted make it impossible to achieve their climate goals, which weren’t even that ambitious in the first place. If Google made a Pixel 10 SE next year that was just a Pixel 4a with a Tensor G4 (and no stupid ai), then it would probably be phone of the year. The problem with making it would be that Google, just like every other massive corporation, operates under the philosophy that they need to constantly be creating unsustainable short term growth for their shareholders, and right now ai is the best way to do that. So unfortunately it looks like we’ll be getting another 6.3 inch ai machine next year.
Also I don’t think the Tensor hate is wrong, just misplaced. Pixels have never been about raw processing power, they’ve been about efficiency. That’s how Google was able to put a Snapdragon 765G in a flagship phone and make a 730G feel as smooth as an 8 series chip. The best part about Tensor is the extra years of updates, but Tensor chips are slow, inefficient midrangers. Google has shown how good they are at optimization, but for some reason, they didn’t put any effort into it when they made Tensor, even though it’s literally their own chip. The worst part about Tensor isn’t its slowness, but rather its inefficiency.
