I cant wait to see all these people wearing AR Glasses trying to cross the busy New York roads. "Ouch what just hit me, man this game just feels too real now..." Reminds me of covid days when I used to run down the stairs with quest 2 on searching for that power bank. Seeing everything in black an white sure felt trippy. I'm sure this Android XR will be just another heavy Android skin similar to Meta OS except now with Google maps integration, people will be using them more outside crossing streets seeing everything in color high res fish eye lense and hopefully not walking into incoming traffic.

Oh man... Here we go again with google and his VR/AR ideas that will be dropped after one or two years...
Any one remember their amazing idea of Youtube VR? Playground AR? VR180 Creator? Google Jump? Google Spotlight VR? Soundstage VR? It was amazing that Cardboard lasted more than 3 years...

And only 2 out of the top 10 aren't American, and those are heavily subsidized by their local governments (Saudi Aramco and TSMC), unlike Microsoft or Google.

I hope they are also working on AR. I'd love to have something like the Google Glass again.
I don't need VR. I care more about augmenting my reality than replacing it.
Like, I don't wanna sound childish, but it would be really cool to see those futuristic HUD effects, especially if it actually provides meaningful information like object identification and map navigation.
