Redmi Buds 6 review - Reader comments

I have Redmi Buds 1S. It doesn't require any app installed to work.

Does this one require it compulsorily or its optional? If yes, then its another privacy disaster in the making.

And this app is a mess anyways.

I would say the the sacrifice in convenience is worth it, at least for me.

I wish reviewers of earbuds would also at least specify manufacturer's claimed latency and do measurements of their own. Nothing worse than buying expensive earbuds and realizing they have half a second delay in games and lips are out of sync with speech in videos. It was particularly infuriating when I was testing JBL Wave earbuds where you expect premium experience overall and it had such massive delay in audio they are only useful for music and nothing else. Meanwhile SoundPeats Air3 Deluxe, SoundPeats TrueAir 2, AirPods 2 and Sony WF-C500 all work flawlessly with delay so low it's not noticeable even without using low latency modes.
