vasilis, 6 hours agoEven so, when all your competitors in this price range have... moreThey work almost identically, so it's just a puerile game of "Smartphone Top Trumps" over who in the playground has the 'best specs'. It's a non issue and not a decider between the phones.
I am no "fan boy" either. I have just purchased my first Oppo device having spent 10+ years with Sony Xperia devices. I could buy any phone and decided on balance, it was the best for my needs.
I'm also into photography, own a number of dedicated cameras, and find the online chatter about how a 1.3" sensor is "better" than a 1.5" amusing. In most shooting situations, it makes an indistinguishable difference on a smartphone, and with auto-AI processing and developments in stacked sensors, it makes basically no difference.
To my previous point, if someone is so serious about their photography that every MP counts and sensor size is critical, buy a dedicated, DSLR-type camera system and forget the smartphone, which is there for random social media shots, not Pulitzer-prize winning compositions.
Smartphone tech is getting so good now, there really isn't much between them anymore. It's more the overall package that should make you decide which phone is right for you, not choosing one squarely because it has "the best sensors" for reasons I've explained above: it's irrelevant.

Oppobois, 17 Dec 2024And this is another reason why I chose Oppo over Vivo. Outs... moreEven so, when all your competitors in this price range have ultrasonic fingerprint recognition and you have optical, it's a big mistake, the vivo x 200pro has it all, it lags a little in the UI and in the one year less update, in everything else it is a superior device

And this is another reason why I chose Oppo over Vivo. Outside of being an overall better package with a nicer OS, this flaw in the design of the Vivo means every photo taken is overprocessed.
The sensor size is also not so great that it makes much difference to image quality, unless you print/frame your photos. And if you are doing that, why would you use a mobile camera? You'd use a high quality compact or DSLR-type camera.
99% of photos taken on mobiles only ever end up on social media, or shown to acquaintances on a tiny mobile screen. For the former, they are downsampled automatically; and for the latter, the image is never big enough to see any flaws in the composure.
Thus, choose your cameraphone based on the overall package and if it has design flaws, like the Vivo, then just avoid altogether.
If you want the absolute best image quality, buy a full frame camera and a decent lens.

So a fix to fix the glare that appears because of hardware issue is called a feature...
