The thinner the bezel, the more efficient the screen size is, the easier the phone is to hold. This has absolutely nothing to do with design.

my experience with sony was bad and good:
xperia play-very bad
not responsive fixed the screen processor twice the buttons werent working never rooted so it was always stock call quality was low very weak durability though i got attached to it
xperia mini-good
one of the best compact android devices i ever used the fluidity with that weak power after 4.0.3 on gingerbread yeah it was really bad btw i still use it today
xperia arc s-awful
constant reboot 7+ times a day every thing got deleted after the reboot it was a piece of junk
xperia sola-great
this device i didn't notice any problem with it at all the best design from sony to date fast responsive and pracrical
note that i usually use sony as a second device but nt anymore i am using htc one "main" s3"second" i am waiting for a gr8 device in my mind its either htc one max or xperia honami in my opinion htc one max looks better but i already have the normal htc one so its a tough decision ill base the result over the ram who gets 3 gigs ram ill buy it. good luck sony

Here are the reasons why this phone wouldn't be a hit:
1. A 1/2.3'' sensor size is too less and the image quality degrades as you zoom in since it's a digital zoom.
2. No Xenon flash. Led lights aren't sufficient to get a good picture in low light.
3. On screen keys take some size of the screen and aren't many people's cup of tea.
4. Non-removable battery.
5. Battery backup would be an issue with Sony.

Was interested in this phone but i'll pass. LG G2 looks the better option size wise. Camera should be good but rather a silm phone, good battery and great screen. G2 looks like the way forward unless Apple have something up there sleeve which I highly doubt.

Shut up, People! As yo can see, Honami has the same bezels of the iPhone, and now are you complainig when no one ever really complains about iphone's bezels? Come on!.
Sony has done an excellent work, putting here:
- Better and bigger Speakers
- Bigger camera (1/2.3" Sensor F2.0, G lenses, 20mpx, Manual Mode)
- Bigger Batery (3050mAh)
- Water-proof (Ip58) 3.5mm jack flapless
Everything in a 8.9mm profile

Compact camera era is going to gone soon just like pager in the past. Stop producing compact camera just focus with smartphones with good camera sensor. I suggest 1 inch sensor minimal to steal market n gain your former glory.

The iphone should have been in the left side so that the minion would look like its looking at the iphone. Lol. There is a wasted space at the top and bottom bezel, sony should have trim it.

Not gonna lie, it looks like an Acro S, which feels perfectly fine and ergonomic in the hand... but then it's a 5" screen, that's too much for a lot of people already, let alone 5" + bezels.
Almost as bad (if not worse) as the iPhone. The Z Ultra was just perfect. Why not borrow that design?

lol, please, do not compare iphone to honami - even if the honami is thicker then the z, it still looks 10 times better then iphone or any other phone.

wow talk about an unnecessary giant. was sony just ensuring they had a place for that famous "Sony" brand logo? And what about the bottom portion? whats the reason for that huge balcony? I love the specs, but im not in love with excess casing tbh
