    Anonymous, 19 Dec 2024I don't know what it's like for other countries, ... moreThat's pretty decent at 800. I paid 940 for the x8 pro with a free wear os watch that I plan on selling. I never was a fan of honors OS but it seems their android 15 update is decent enough. I personally hate the pill cutout for the front facing camera so that would rule it out for me but at 800 if it had a normal selfie cam it would have been a consideration.

      This "western tax" is IMO most stupid move from Huawei et consortes. Very few people gonna buy overpriced ch..ese phones with these prices. By by, Hua-expensive-wei, (kl)Oppo and Greevo.

I just think that there are other, better value options available on the market for that price. Other options that will give you a greater return if/when you decide to upgrade down the line. Why get something "iPhone-level" when you could just get that device?

                          NikCal88, 19 Dec 2024Going to be a tough sell when one plus 13 or even oppo find... moreI don't know what it's like for other countries, but at least in the UK it'll probably launch at around £1100, and they're promoting a £300 discount for early purchases, putting it at £800, much cheaper than the Oppo Find X8 and whatever the 1+13 will cost, along with the phone having many hardware options that are superior (best speakers, better charging speeds, the best eye care and dimming, full face biometrics, etc.). As you say the software/support will be worse though.

                            1200 mAh difference between pro and lite is also way too big.
