In the race of zero bezels, AOD and gimmicks like ... moreI never hold my phone on a table where screen is facing the table so the LED bling on the back wont be seen the majority of the time i use the phone so the notifications dont much matter in that case. Even tough my phone screen light up or have the fireworks band effect when some notification is coming in but it's for once and if i dont see it then it wont show it more times. Yeah it would be nice to have some light dot or something to show that there is notification. Especially cause there is this function as always on display that for Xiaomi phones work only for the 10 seconds after you turn the screen off or tap on the screen so it shows the clock and date and what you have set it to show.

        Anonymous, 26 Dec 2024That already is happening. It's called AOD.AOD consumes more battery and a notification LED is just objectively superior. Manufacturers should find a way to bring it back in, maybe on the selfie cutout since they insist on still keeping it.
