I bought the Pura 70 ultra in June 2024 and till now Huawei hasn't released the AI features they promoted during launch. China users have them but Huawei seem to have forgotten all their global users.
Also, the processor isn't flagship. It heats up fast you can't game on this one. I know people will say Huawei devices are camera phones but I could do long game hours with my old Huawei pro phones so the Pura 70 flagships should at least deliver decent gaming, not constant game alerts to switch settings to low.
Until Huawei manages to deliver topnotch Kirin processors that run cool like the last Kirin ones before the US ban, only then can they be recommendable again.

Huawei does not have.
Creating image sensor is far more complicated than SoC.
SoC, any brand can have easily in 2 years. If they burn money enough.
No image sensor that comes out of Sony SS, Samsung Semicon and Omnivision is 3rd party design. Clients buy what they create.
The company knows that pushing the story " we beat big evil Eagle" sells.
No surprise that people that read tech there prefer xiaomi, oppo and vivo.
They don't fall for this story.

Rather will have a fully chinese phone without a spying from USA than a spy phone where it will always send some data somewhere and your privacy will be as good as useless.
What special google playstore have that Huawei harmony store doest???
More bloatware apps??? No thanks.
Maps and several other apps i can find on both devices.
For Gmail i still can use brownser on a Huawei device.
I can even place an icon of said gmail which will alunch via brownser or i can put my Gmail as a first page to open when i run brownser.
Google play serices have nothing i could not live without.
If you need them so much i am sorry for you friend.
By the way just because you dont know in every Harmoyn powered device you can download and install Gblox app. It will give you nice latest android over your harmony and you will have google play services and other google apps available you can even download any other aps and use them like you have an Android on your phone without any issues at all .
One again its called Gblox is available from Harmony store or you can google search for it.

Since like 2018, every generation of the Huawei P and Mate series have been among the best or even at the very top of cameraphones (current dxo rating for Pura 70 Ultra: #1 camera/cameraphone). So, the P(ura) 80 series will reflect this strong drive to innovate and enhance current technology even further - this is in Huawei's genes, so to speak.
The new 1/1.3" tele-sensor is probably going to be the biggest so far, as the largest tele-sensors from vivo and other cameracentric companies are 1/1.4".
The P40 pro+, the first Huawei phone after the sanctions imposed on Huawei, had a brilliant and very large UWA sensor that was not much smaller than the main WA sensor.
Unfortunately, Huawei was very tight-lipped with regards to the sizes of their sensors, so I have no idea low large the UWA sensors have been in the P70 and P60 models.
