Oneplus advertises the Ace 5 with suggested mah capacity and the 13R with the usable capacity. The 12R has 5500mah usable (measured by multiple apps) which is 5%-8% less than the full capacity, but still advertised as 5500mah total. I don't know how much Oneplus is saving, but 6400/6000 is 6.92% if you follow my logic.

                  The battery size is a disapointment as we know the price will be more in the US launch price than the exchange rate the ace 5 is. Wonder if it will atleast get the water touch feature.

                        The CPUs are essentially matched with Qualcomm being more efficient at the highest and lowest power inputs at certain tasks and Mediatek being more efficient in the middle power input at certain tasks. But in general, Qualcomm's CPU is more efficient, as shown by the higher Geekbench numbers on all phones.

                        However, only in terms of GPU is Mediatek more efficient, which is why you see the higher performance numbers as they're able to push the GPU harder.

                        These chips are essentially matched and apart from the tuning differences that the manufacturers are gonna put into these phones, im pretty sure the actual differences are going to be negligible, if they're noticeable in the first place that is. Watch Xiaobai's videos on phones and you'll see Mediatek phones are cooler/use less power in some games and Qualcomm chips do that in others. It's just a back and forth this time. Although I'm rooting for Mediatek due to them being underdogs, saying they're "way more efficient" is misleading and in most instances, a lie.

                              I was thinking more of the 7 and 7s series. You'd expect them to be more efficient than they are. The fact that OEMs are using these lower end chips suggests that Qualcomm is charging a ridiculous amount for the 8 series.

OnePlus 12 and iQOO 12 lasting 10 hours of SOT on casual usage on Wifi 7. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3/2 are quiet efficient chips. I have used only two phones with snapdragon 8 Elite. That's why it's early to comment on efficiency of that chip. Let's wait for Poco F7 Ultra, Honor Magic 7 Pro and OnePlus 13 Global edition.

                                      These Qualcomm chips don't seem to be as efficient as they once were. MediaTek chips seem to offer superior efficiency and are also cheaper. We see phones with 6,000mAh batteries due to this and the ridiculously large displays. As a result, phones weight north of 200g. I'm enjoying my new Edge 50 Neo, which doesn't suffer from any of these annoyances.
