A new technology will be used that's so far been exclusive to folding screens.

I'm under the impression that were on the S24 currently. The S25 is being released, what, later this month? Is Samsung already talking about the S26? It's just that the article talks about the S26 without any mention of its predecessor, the S25.

Tiramisu, 11 Jan 2025Thank you, my friend. I appreciate your advice. When I s... moreyou can't get more than 2-3 years of usage. The software NUKES the battery and performance tanks as well. I don't know anyone who has used Pixels for long enough but i have family members who use iPhones and they switch every 2-3 years as updates destroyed battery life. I'm using an S22 Ultra and updates have added a few bugs and glitches/crashes over time AND the battery has gotten really bad.

From whatever you're talking about, I think the Oppo Ultra would be more up your alley, it sounds like it's gonna be global, it might have great battery (at least better than Xiaomi), the charging might not be super slow, the cameras might be great and ColorOS is the fluidest software around rn. If you want your phone to last long, make sure to just turn off fast charging and only charge overnight or something, heat is a big killer of battery so yeah, it won't destroy your battery in a month but in a year or so you'll feel it. Besides, if you're going to use a phone for 5 years you're gonna HAVE TO change the battery at some point so if you're ready to do that, the Vivo and Oppo phones would do well. Make sure to cover the camera bumps with something as the oleophobic coatings might wear off.

When I said reliability, I meant long-term usage(5 years), battery endurance, RAM optimization, quick operation and fluidity.

Huge diference. Only in video stability Samsung still is the number one in Android that dont drop frames but in general for camera phone Samsung is not the number one... but is Vivo and even Oppo

This samsung they copy and paste everything from BOE.
Still same phone like last 6 years just minor tweaks an even more minor differences.

Honestly, if Samsung fixes the OS lags, and lack of good animations, design consistency, and Camera software, most notably blurry photos with slow shutter, and oversharpening, green tint. What more do you need in a smartphone?

Who cares? They should start using 10 bit panel and Dolby Vision. Most chinese flagships have better quality displays.

These are the few things that can still be genuinely improved. We have new battery tech but even that is still 1st gen and seemingly not that amazing. Better thermals in phones is the one thing I can see I proved in the future, besides what Samsung tries to improve here. Everything else is pretty much done for the time being

If you're going to use your phone for work and you're a normie who doesn't care about cameras, i'd suggest you go for the Samsung IF you can find good deals for example a free Galaxy Watch, a pair of Galaxy Buds/Buds Pro OR if the phone is 100-300 euros cheaper using some promo codes or something. DO NOT get it at MSRP.

The Xiaomi will most likely not have great battery life and we don't know much about the Find X8 Ultra, seems to be that it'll be a modest improvement over last year's Ultra, if not just the same phone with display and battery improvements. I'd suggest the Vivo X200 Pro if you want something that has exceptional cameras, it's got the best camera system right now, if you discount the X100 Ultra and even if you don't want to exclude it the X200 Pro is 90-95% of that phone in terms of photography.

It all depends on you, i wouldn't really say any phone is gonna be better than the other in terms of ruggedness or anything, unless you live in India these phones will be fine. Indian manufactured phones have really poor QC. I use an S22U myself and it's been pretty annoying, i've experienced a number of bugs/glitches/crashes so i don't really see how people talk about Samsung's UI being flawless.

Just think about these things :
                                        - Which phone's design do you like the most?
                                        - Which phone's cameras do you like the most?
                                        - Which phone has some niche feature/set of features that you see yourself using the most?
                                        - Which phone's price are you willing to pay?

I would discount the Xiaomi Ultra unless you're ok with carrying a powerbank at some point. Your main choices are just based around the Vivo, Oppo and Samsung phones then.
