Zendroid, 13 Jan 2025So you are the violent type. Maybe you should buy doro phon... moreWTF does that even mean? Why would he be a violent type? My charging port got whacked because of a sudden, accidental cable disconnection. I couldn't normally charge my phone or transfer data to back it up before taking it in for a repair. It was a nightmare and Samsung is at fault here (or USB-C port inventors), because it gets so easily damaged. That is wireless charging is essential to have even if you personally don't use it.

Zendroid, 13 Jan 2025So you are the violent type. Maybe you should buy doro phon... moreI'm not sure how having Samsung phones break on you even when you're babying them makes you violent but okay. Samsung phones are so incredibly fragile that its ridiculous. I've had so many Samsung phones and tablets just die without any sort of hard impact. I only pieced it together after my z flip 3 corrupted itself and lost all of my pictures after only 4 months of use. Even our Samsung fridge has issues. Its pretty clear that anything with a Samsung logo on it is pretty much guaranteed to end up breaking down

Zendroid, 09 Jan 2025Nobody cares about wireless charging. Its going to be very useful when the charging port breaks and you need something to fall back on, and given its a samsung, you're going to want things to fall back on considering how bad their quality control has become in recent years

tekina, 09 Jan 2025WHY do you need to upgrade from a phone that is not even 2 ... moreThis is good thig to do. You have new phone again.
BUT
You have lost 300€. You can wait another year and lost 600€. But you have a old phone.
If you replace phone every year, you lost same € but have always new phone.
That's why its irrational to buy anything else but Samsung or iPhone. All other Brands loose more in one year.

xPandamon, 10 Jan 2025I tried a different provider and a new sim from my old prov... moreInteresting. Possibly a faulty device. It happens. I had faulty Buds2 Pro when I pre-ordered. Basically you couldn't understand anything during phonecalls. I spent two years with those earphones, it was horrible, I didn't know they are faulty. Then they were stolen from me (good riddance). I somehow got a fantastic deal so I bought them again for their sound quality and automatic switching between devices. And this pair sounds fantastic. Music quality is the same, it was good before, too, but phonecalls are a different world now. I can hear everyone clearly. And my friend bought Buds3 Pro. They sounded faulty during playing any kind of content, one earbud was just weird. So he had them exchanged and the new pair sounds great. So it is pretty normal that devices are faulty from the start due to manufacturing inconsistencies or errors. But often these things are also just software issues that get corrected via software updates.

Anonymous, 09 Jan 2025Typical chinese phone life expectancy is less than 2 years ... moreHow is it a small issue to have your battery so degraded on an Ultra flagship within 2 years that you have to carry a powerbank with you?🤣
My nearly 2 year old vivo flagship works like new, still has the same excellent battery life that it had 1,5 years ago.

amigosan, 10 Jan 2025well, it could maybe have been at 99% right now if you didn... moreDefinitely not, I'm a really heavy user, so sometimes, for example yesterday if I had started my day with 80%, I would've had to charge it somewhere in the middle of the day, but because I started with 100%, I only needed to charge it at the very end of my day, and after that I haven't used the phone, started this morning with a 100% again.
Btw yesterday going from 100% to 9% mean 5 hours and 10 minutes of screen on time, all that on max brightness, 1440p resolution, 120hz, always on display, and I'm only using mobile data, so no Wi-Fi.

gm, 10 Jan 2025why do you need 24gb ram bro ? are you running a AI server?I'm kind of a geek. I have 4 different OS 's installed on my phone other than Android . Just for fun 😅
- Windows 95 , Windows 98 , Windows XP , TinyCore Linux + Android 13 .
My point is: yes , I always need more RAM . Especially for running full-blown operating systems on top of android 🤯🤣
Also I'm into programming and scripting , which I do a LOL on my phone . The pc is gathering dust atm.
Not everyone is a typical default user. Certainly not me. Also I don't do any gaming except for wsop .

I always hear about this, that it's needed for the battery's health to charge only up to 80%, and to charge it slowly, but it doesn't seem to work. My current phone is a vivo that I've been using for over 1,5 years, I always charge it up to a 100% with the included 80W charger, or an original vivo 50W wireless charger, and the battery is still in perfect condition, 97% according to the settings app.

DarlingYext, 10 Jan 2025So you only charge your phone up to 80%?I did in the beginning, using adaptive charging now. Which means 80% while sleeping, and stopping the charge at 100% until it has fallen down to 95%
