A WLAN system that has a range of a good 16 kilometers and is not as affected by rain as the 2.4 GHz band? This is possible with 802.11ah (Wifi Halow), because this standard operates in the 900 MHz band.

The company Morse Micro, which currently dominates the list of certified devices, now wants to slowly get started with the standard. With a new chip, the 8108, as well as reference designs for access points and clients, products are expected to come onto the market in 2025.

        As for the rest, kind of similar with my experience. My battery life is that of an S23FE still (5 hours), but I use it for longer usually, and the slow charging leaves me frustrated.

        That said, I don't find the camera that bad - in the morning. At night, it's unusable. But I haven't experienced any camera lag. Only youtube lags. Idk why. Does OIS make that big a difference?

SD card slot is a premium feature imo and makes a big difference in keeping a phone for longer. The battery is showing its age a bit, but I have a lot of screen-on time. Can charge once during the day and its alright. Everything on this phone works fine except the camera, which was never great to begin with. It is the only thing that lags, but does so badly.
          Despite my preferred budget, I won't buy another phone where the camera doesn't have some sort of image stabilization, OIS or otherwise. The A55 has OIS.

              I love all the new tech but I keep my wallet closed up tight... finally left the industrial sector after 20 years. My phones have all been low end because I assume I'm going to break them. This Samsung A51 I'm running is now entering its 5th year .

Mostly from battery related issues, and thats in the US. Other countries change them even less often, going for 4 or even 5 years. And as a tech enthusiast, I'm still on a Galaxy A50. Almost 6 years.

                      Samsung should stop making these types of phone now. Those were the days when samsung used to innovate in low and mid range smartphones. Other OEM are now going ahead with battery capacity and battery technology Samsung is stuck on typical 5000 mAh regular battery technology. And, on top of that, (Forget about charger with the box) it even restricts charging support upto 25 watt and calls it as fast charging. On top of that it provides U shape notch to even higher mid range phones where other are providing punch hole on all thier entire respective budget phones..

                          So yes same thing like A53 just one less camera from A52 8GB ram instead of 4 which had A51 5% increase in CPU and GPU and thats it.
                          Maybe buttons will be placed few milimeters up or down from previous generation but absolutely nothing new.
                          Like usually samsung will spend several billons for advertising just to make sure A56 will be most sold smartphone in world in 2025.

                          Well honestly make equal ground I.E. make all phones from all brands available in all 206 countries in world at every Vendor and Shop which sells cell phones and A56 will be hardly the most sold phone in world.

                          Because many chinese brands for equal the price make and sells twice or thrice as much specced devices.
                          A55 initial pricing were 550 euros vendor dependable.
                          This A56 will also be 550 or 600 and without charger in box just cable.
                          For 550 or 600 i can buy Oneplus 13R.7Even the Oneplus 13 here in Slovakia can be bought from 1179 at Alza.sk you get a 100 eur voucher you can immediately use for buying this phone plus you get a Oneplus watch 2R worth 260 euros for free, Thats like 360 eur worth of discounts so like a oneplus 13 16/512GB combo cost 800 eur.

                            I upgraded from an S21 Ultra (bought in July 2021) to S24 Ultra (bought in September) and by far the biggest difference was the battery life
                            S21 died after a few hours of use, charged 2 or even 3 times everyday while the S24 keeps going, only needing to charge it once per day and sometimes i can skip a day
                            But everything else? Barely a difference at all
                            It seems they're purposefuly downgrading your battery with updates so you're forced to upgrade otherwise if my S21 Ultra still had a decent battery i wouldn't have had to ugpgrade

                              The A56 is not for the A55 user, as the S25 is not for the S24 user. Boring incremental changes to all these models don't mean much unless you're upgrading from a 3 to 4 year old handset, which is what normies do.

                                        That the 5x series is now dropping down behind the 3x.

                                        The number 1 cause of this is, as already mentioned if reading, increase the price tag of the unit with very little to no change to the phone's specs.
                                        While removed hardware like the headphone jack and the SD card is negateable, but it is the number 2 cause why the 5x sales are lower. Consumers are buying the 2x series or other brands.
