    Redmi 14 5g

Given the almost non-existent performance improvements - and assuming that this level of performance is sufficient for your requirements to begin with - and you want to stick with the Note series - you'd be better off buying last years 13 Pro series right after the 14 Pro series launches and pocketing the difference for a nice set of Bluetooth earbuds or IEM's or something in my opinion.

I may well do that myself for my girfriend who is still clinging loyally to her old Note 8 Pro that can't even hold a charge for longer than a couple of hours anymore.

As for me, my Poco F3 is also starting to get battery bulge and not lasting as long as it used to, so maybe if the F7 isn't overpriced (fat chance), I'll get that. Otherwise I'll just move to another brand with better value.

potato4k, 13 Jan 2025Depends on what is important. Camera and great all rounder... morePretty much brand popularity/loyalty and different "tech enthusiasts" in other discussion groups, reviewing sites, tech shops/vendors pursuing an unaware willingly or not (some don't care to research and just want a straight upgrade from what they have and that's justified) customer to replace their current device.

As for Vivo presence, unless you're in different parts of the world
besides EU - you're F-ed. Most solid Vivo and other BBK brands options are unavailable due to legal distribution issues and other shenanigans I won't deep dive into. Either low end trash or top tier exists in EU, very rarely do the so acclaimed flagship killers or mid range. If they were then I would've moved on from OnePlus and Xiaomi already to Honor or Sony or aforementioned Vivo or something else. It's the precise way Xiaomis don't occur in US and Pixels, Motorolas are very popular, whereas In EU Motorolas and Pixels barely get much of acknowledgement. Importing them is too dearing due to ROM incompatibility with regional banking services or network compatibilities and etc.

For instance, the selection in my country for phones:
        >High end:
Samsung, Xiaomi, Sony, Asus, OnePlus, Motorola, Pixels.

        >Mid end:
Samsung, Xiaomi/POCO, OnePlus, Motorola, Nothing, Pixel (???).

        >Low end:
Xiaomi/POCO, Realme, OnePlus, Motorola, Huawei, Nokia and plenty of other knockoff brands.

No Honor, Oppo (solid models), Vivo, iQOO, Realme (solid models), Infinix, ZTE, Huawei unless imported with non-global ROM, which doesn't work for 95% of people. All in all, scarce choice.

So sad that the global version of pro+ has smaller battery capacity.. I would rather switch now to Poco X7 Pro

Cvekla, 13 Jan 2025Departure from Snapdragon chipset is the biggest fail. No, pulling a reno12 onto pro+ is.

Indian global variant doesn’t come with si/c Battery?..

Departure from Snapdragon chipset is the biggest fail.

I will definitely get the Chinese pro+ sorely because of it's battery, also because I don't go more than 3x zoom

                    For 500+ € i prefer a 14t or even 14t pro or even a mi13 or mi14 i guess

Captain Mastermind, 13 Jan 2025Just check out Redmi Turbo 4 or Poco X7 Pro instead.Turbo has always been China-only.

No, it's a joke. Same old pathetic battery, no 3.5mm jack, ridiculous curved screen - it's a downgrade. I would have upgraded my Note 13 pro because i'm not satisfied with the pathetic battery life, but i'll stick with it.

                            Depends on what is important.
Camera and great all rounder? Get Vivo V series
Performance for the dollar? Get Poco X/F series
Software and decent all rounder? Get Samsung A3x/A5x series
Want cheap phone? Get a phone from one of Transsion brands

The question should be, why do you even want to buy a Redmi Note?

PureOS, 12 Jan 2025Redmi note 10 pro was the last good phone from Note line.True and don't forget the audio jack and SD card. That was a very good phone.

Juni911, 12 Jan 2025Redmi is failed Sorry for them This year decline of redmi... moreThat's what they've been planning all along. It's Xiaomi marketing strategy which could potentially produce more profits than just selling a single lineup like Apple does

YourMother, 12 Jan 2025Good thing the China variant can be bought through some e-c... moreyes you can buy China versions from AliExpress and they cost cheaper but they have smaller range of 4g/5g bands support and as far as i know if you would want to install Global HyperOS (which got harder now) you won't be able to lock bootloader
