The term "flagship" unquestionably means great on everything - battery life/size, chipset, cameras, build quality, software and hardware features, appearance (subjective). If one thing is missing then it should not classified as "flagship", but "flagship-like" as they are. Upgrading one or another feature to mid-range device doesn't automatically make it a "flagship", it's Iike saying a supercar is great, because of the V12 Turbo engine, but if tires, exhaustion, cooling etc sucks then it isn't a supercar, but average heavily modded car.
For what it is, F and T series were always "flagship-like" tier phones and anyone disagreeing with this should learn technical characteristic defining phones instead of hunting for attention on GSMA discussion threads.

The Chinese one downgraded to the vastly inferior imx882/LYT600 main camera whereas the global one keeps the far better main camera sensor. Also the Redmi note 14 pro+ proabably still has the better main camera compared to the Chinese version. I agree that the pro+ is worse overall though as they cut the telephoto sensor. It's not a huge difference though as the 200mp one can do reasonable cropped zoom. Definitely a little worse but the pro model is better.

Seems strange to launch the Redmi k80 pro though as that will be around the Xiaomi t pro type price range. If it was 100-200 cheaper than the next Xiaomi t pro it would be pointless in getting thE Xiaomi t pro.

Redmi turbo 4 rebranded as poco x series and redmi k rebranded as poco f pro and ultra. If xiaomi did release poco f7 vanilla there's no phone that could be rebranded to fit in that segment between poco x7 pro and poco f7 pro.

aReefer, 20 hours agoI think that the argument from Xiaomi will be that since th... moreAlso people didn't read the article because while pro has bigger batter but the chipset is using 4nm node and only support 90 wired charging, the ultra using 3nm node that's more efficient and significantly better in every aspect, support 120w wired charging and 50w wireless.
If xiaomi only rebrand it from redmi k80 and 80 pro without changing any spec whatsoever. But maybe there will be some change as some phone released in india has more battery capacity than global.

Poco f3 user, 14 Jan 2025I wonder why ultra has less battery capacity than pro? Anyo... moreI think that the argument from Xiaomi will be that since the Ultra has the new SD Elite chipset, it will outlast the Pro that has a bigger battery, by virtue of being more efficient.
They are focusing on battery life over battery capacity in other words.
I'm not saying that they are correct however, as the display often sucks up more power than the chipset - especially if you use it in high brightness mode most of the time.
There is no replacement for displacement.

T series was never the inferior one, it was always the proper flagship killer. The only time it was inferior was when poco x3 was released
