It's the Chinese battery companies developing this tech. The smartphone companies just buy the batteries. Smartphone companies develop very little of the core hardware technology themselves unless they are designing chips.

                    we should not compare these old phones because in the past the specs were not as good as now. See Note 13 Pro has a 1.5K 120hz screen, more powerful SoC with 5G etc.

                      I've got a Redmi note 13 pro and my previous A72 definitely had better battery life.
