Every time they mention certification tests by FCC they don't mention from which country. Is it United States FCC ? If yes I would be surprised in regards of the protectionism of the US market and over restrictive commercial practices of US carriers which impose literally which phones and tablets can be used on their networks or not.
Using global variants of Chinese smartphones with US sim cards is a hassle even if they are theoretically compatible with most bands from major carriers there.
