China considers selling TikTok to Elon Musk

The decision appears to be out of the hands of ByteDance.

To be honest, I feel like selling Tiktok to Elon would, much like when two large network operators merge, create too much of a monopoly in regards to social media. Add to this what he's done with Twitter, and I feel like this is a bad idea.

TikTok, on X, literally said this was absolutely not true. Not sure why you guys reposted this. If anything, Me Beast out out a tweet saying he may buy it.

It's a win-win for China selling to Musk. 100 billion well needed dollars into their failing housing business, while TikTok will become even more polarising under Musk.

If tiktok gets banned, i would like to see removal or option to remove yt shorts on youtube and other socmeds. Socmeds are now uncontrollable, they're becoming marketplace.

Typical US bullying. Literally bullied the only social media platform able to compete against American social media giants, same to what they did to Huawei. Those actions cannot be tolerated forever. At some point, there must be global boycotting of all American tech. The more this is delayed, the more Americans will monopolize all technology sectors in all countries.

Everyone in the world knows that Tiktok is innocent. Tiktok is stuck in the wrong place and time. What really happened was that they didn't like Trump and his supporters. The presidential election in the US has actually been designed for Trump to lose. They exert all efforts, including propaganda through dozens of mainstream media, to achieve this. For many years, they were the ones who determined who had the right to be president and from which party. They are the real owners of the aces, the crazy rich who dominate the political stage there. I call it 724 eagles. It is very sad, a country that claims to be a democracy but turns out not to be really a democracy. That's where Tiktok came in, being the only social media that wasn't controlled by the CIA. There is no shadowbanned, no censorship about politics. Tiktok censorship is only when you say a rude sentence and phornography. Imagine hundreds of their mass media (including Twitter and Facebook) being defeated by Tiktok. Just a Tiktok. The result was that Trump became the winner. Therefore, they think Tiktok should be banned. Or at least controlled under their control. Because if not, in the next presidential election they will not have the slightest power over the politics that take place. Suppose Tiktok is sold to Africans and the new owner refuses to bow to the interests of the eagles. I'm sure Tiktok will be banned as well. Because basically they prohibit not because of security issues, but because they want to control the right to speak of others.
What is happening in the US right now is a war. It's just that it's not my war, and I don't really care. It's just that I hope Tiktok is not sold because it will result in the strengthening of the US dollar. And that will hurt many poor countries.

When Gen Z and Alpha worries about TikTok future is the sign of the end of the world for them 🤦🏻‍♂️
Life goes on with or without internet and we Gen X already prove it. Bunch of weak generation 🙄

It'll never work, but making it worse than cringe brainrot.

Have we forgotten about what that British commentator named 'Thunderfoot' said about Elon?

The world's a shining utopia without TikTok, or all of any social medias on that matter.

We shouldn't have been distracted in the first place.
