I hope they put this camera setup in upcoming flagship fold.

Much thinner, 1.3mm.. ok then. Let's not forget 90% of peeps will rock a case so what's the point.. other than apple riding..

Ultimate torment: finally a premium-cam in a non-ultra, but still way to big body and a tiny battery plus awfull thermal performance on top. Can't wait to see this snapped by Jerry.

You can't tell because the S26 is gonna look exactly the same as the S25 which looks exactly the same as the S24

Note7 owner, 16 Jan 2025Going to be one those have to see in person to appreciate stuff. Steve Jobs was right when he said that the users don’t know what they want until you show them. I didn’t believe it for a long time but reading comments on this site shows that they indeed have no idea, when all they do is requesting bigger and bigger batteries, fancy sounding specs with no practical advantage like vapor chamber or silicon carbide, sharp corners that feel uncomfortable, and ridiculous „solutions“ to the hole punch like bad quality under display cameras and mechanical popup cameras with are much more fragile than the otherwise solid state device. Not to mention all the plastic scratching expensive unrepairable fragile folding devices, especially the flip variants that add no purpose and are actually more annoying because one has to open it first to use it.

So a S25+ but thinner. That means for anyone who does not want it they can just buy the S25+. Case closed in my opinion. No idea why so many are outraged by the existence of an additional option. Probably because the Chinese brands they worship don’t have any strategy of their own and just copy what Samsung and Apple do, so they are afraid the Chinese will make their phones thinner as well because these brands don’t think for themselves and have no creativity.

Now the s25 slim model will take care of normal users, With proper thermal system the s25+ can become a potential gaming beast

I can't consider putting money on a phone that will pack a measly 5k mah at a flagship price. It has to be at least 5.5k otherwise no buy. Currently looking to get a oneplus 13r as secondary phone because of big battery compared to other phones in it's category

Knee-jerk reaction of a product because they heard from an insider that Apple is coming up with their own slim device pretty soon, so they had to respond with a similar product. That's about it if I were to guess.

dbizzle, 16 Jan 2025If this thing costs as much or more than the 25+, I think t... moreit's gonna sell, the Samsung name sells and it being a novel concept, yk something new, would obviously garner attention from normies. The question is how good will it sell and if the phone's gonna sell enough for Sammy to continue making more.

I do think it's gonna last only a year or two, like the iPhone Minis, but FAR less successful. Cus at least small phones have fans, who really wants a slim phone? LOL

Really cool concept and it's actually really cool that they crammed some half decent cameras, compared to the base S phones, into this slimmer body. And I think the difference would be immediately noticeable due to the fact that this phone has flat sides, just like other phones.

Thickness matters a LOT for flatter phones, that's why no one complained till the S23 Ultra about the thickness/brick-like feeling much, just complained about the sharp sides of that phone.

Although I do agree with some it's not thin enough to make it much different from others, i think it's thin enough to have a place. What I do think is going to be a huge L is the battery, unless they have a 4400-4900 mah battery, this is going to be an L year and an impotent phone. They should've waited till they got their hands on Si/C battery tech for a slim phone.

I just wonder who's going to buy this phone though, Plus phones don't really generate that much sales as they're close to the Pro/Ultra models in terms of price so most people just switch to them, the Mini models of iPhones weren't that popular. How is this even going to survive for a year let alone a few years? Seems like an experiment to see how people react.

Shellyman Studios, 16 Jan 2025Let's be real, what's the purpose of this phone?...As a test market for the new frame/design. That's why it's going to be released separately from the main S25 lineup, which still exist.

I'm also guessing it's a prep when Samsung adopts newer denser battery. So later they can advertise improvements in battery life while consumers are already used to the newer form factor.

Wtf, Slim body with thick camera bump

We all know how it went the last time Samsung tried to make a *slim* phone.. make smaller phones instead of harder to wield slim phones Samsung!

The S24+ with new 200mp camera and Snapdragon would have made a great S25+, with good camera and still good battery.
