Anonymous, 17 Jan 2025None wants natural. That is the problemi dont mind unnatural, i just dont like how Google, Apple and Samsung handle it. Oppo and Vivo do a far better job of unnatural photos imo. Like, what I want most is just the choice. That way both normal people and people like me can get what what we desire.

jiyen235, 17 Jan 2025that 40 mp sensor seems like it was inferior to the new one... moreNone wants natural. That is the problem

unxpctd, 17 Jan 2025But the selfie processing keeps going downhill.... you can ... morethat 40 mp sensor seems like it was inferior to the new one to me but i agree, it's more natural than what we have now, just overprocessed nonsense nowadays. I don't like taking selfies but when im out and in a beautiful spot the selfies come out quite nice on my S22U especially with the sharpness lowered. I just wish all phones came with sharpness toggles lol

The weirdest thing about selfies is that the more natural it is, the less people like it, just take a look at the immense amount of snapchat filters and stuff lol, people like "looking better"

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2025All phones have exceptional discounts. But I agree with you... morei don't think all phones have exceptional discounts. I've only seen Samsung have exceptional discounts. Other phones have ok or at best "good" discounts. The problem with Chinese phones is pricing and special offers, they already take big gambles by bringing phones to another country that they're not successful in so giving offers is an even bigger risk. Samsung has enough sales to mitigate that issue.

Screen quality is negligible nowadays, post 1200 nits phones are exceptional and normal people don't even care about screen calibration, they always use Vivid mode, so screen quality doesn't matter. Selfie cam is a weird thing, Samsung's selfies are nice and all but the focal length is so narrow you'd expect it to be easily the best instead of it being a contested competition. Like, since the S24U's selfies are overprocessed, the Vivo X100 Ultra's overprocessed shots look normal and thus, simply better. But the Samsung has better video.

And I wouldn't even mind them using the same cam if it's a decent one/at least they cut the price considering the stagnation. For example imagine if they continued using the GN2 from then till now, they'd have essentially the largest mainstream flagship main cam. They don't do that. Imagine if they used their own JN5 for their 3x telephoto. They don't do that. I don't mind Samsung copying Apple but they're only copying the bad things without giving us anything good. High prices and low value.

AnonD-1187531, 16 Jan 2025S25=S24+new chipset, minus innovation. Thank you Samsung!Yes, without a doubt. Samsung needs to innovate in camera sensors now. Can't just sit back and milk customers like years after years.

They somehow lucked out with a ridiculous 40megapixel sensor in the S22. Selfies looked NATURAL. The year after, they can it and now the pictures looking more digital.

The internet is always bombarded with Galaxy S leaks near the launch time
One day about the price of the phones, one day about the size, one day about the color
The day about official and unofficial renderings and...
is it really revealed? Or it is they own work
On the other hand, since Samsung is providing the supply at this time, more information may be revealed

It reminds me of Samsung Galaxy Alpha. This is Samsung Galaxy Alpha without thick bezels and additional 4 rear cameras.

Hopefully they'd offer a pure white (though the light blue looks white enough, so it can do in a pinch) and black among the proprietary colors available on Samsung's website!

unpopular opinion: I prefer the S25 ultra design to its predecessors. The older ultra designs are too boxy and sharp edged for me. This one is just nice and you can still tell it's not the non-ultra lines

But I agree with you they are really riding on their past sucess today. The only thing that worths on an s-ultra phone is the hybrid zoom(people are always amazed lol), the screen quality and selfie camera(arguably the best ngl). The rest is just a tech from 5years ago. I mean apple atleast give minimal upgrade to their pro devices, even if it's a very minor spec bump, no iPhone launched with a downgraded battery capacity or stagnated one(I know 14 series did, but at least they had similar battery life,). And no phone should use the same main camera for 3 years in a row before changing it, if theres any manufacturer that need to do that then it shouldn't be Samsung who manufactures their own lens. I mean how can be so proud of trolling other brand when their best lenses doesn't even end up on their flagship? A 2000$ z fold still uses a 10mp lens? Fine it's not bad, but it shouldn't be that expensive for garbage lens. Where's the 200mp telephoto lens co-engineered with vivo? I wish Samsung just stops copying Apple and instead copies Vivo in everything but UI, that day YouTubers will glaze for a complete year.
