Anonymous, 17 Jan 2025nah some of us like compact devicesThe S25 Slim isn't even compact though. It's still the size of the s25 plus in the other dimensions.

The real elephant in the room is the weight which none of the manufacturers are looking at. There are only handful of devices, in fact only 3 released last year below 170gms with decent specification.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2025I am DarlingYext/vik457 and I hate choiceWhat choices do I hate, when most countries have nothing but Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi and maybe some Motorola phones? I'd like more brands to join all those countries, and Samsung to finally change, and make unique phones again, where the A series doesn't look like most of the S series, and the Ultra doesn't look like the Ultra from 1,2 and 3 years prior to the newest one, the way they work currently is what I dislike.

How thin could a phone be without so many long lenses? Not everybody desires the Pixel's weighty belt-line.

Slim phones are a cost cutting scam. The builder gets to use less materials on the chassis, with a smaller heatsink, a smaller battery, etc. What's the benefit for the end user?

Then they better make the Galaxy A56 return to the US with this strategy, because if the Galaxy S25 Slim is indeed ended up replacing the entire S FE phone series, and this one doesn't make it to the US as well, the gap between the A36 and vanilla S24 would've create a gorge of price that is unimaginable compared to already too big of a gap between A35 anr S24 FE. Even Apple's gap of price between iPhone SE3 and the vanilla 14 with its current price isn't too extreme compared to this. Especially how prevalent Samsung in the US market, this could backfire if A5x series doesn't return there. Apple already dominating above Samsung in the US market share and if they don't be careful, well, it could be a disaster for Samsung.

DarlingYext, 17 Jan 2025Good, that would cement its failure, because outside of the... moreTranslation: good, that means there will not be one option below 6.5mm thickness after that even though that would not change anything about the thousands of thicker options. Please all manufacturers make the exact same 6.7 inch 7500mAh 220g brick and leave no room for people who would prefer anything else.

Good, that would cement its failure, because outside of the US it won't succeed anyways.
