The M3 and M2 scored identically according to my research. It’s not An upgrade.....

The main issue I have with the iPad is its operating system. Although Apple markets it as a laptop/MacBook replacement, it falls short in several areas. The primary concerns are the lack of fluidity in workflow and the sluggish file system. I would appreciate it if Apple considered incorporating an OLED display, as it would enhance its value as a media consumption device rather than a laptop replacement, which it currently is not.

New iPad hardwares are not exciting anymore.
The issue is iPadOS. Just like buying a supercar that can only travel at 20 mph max.
I rather rock a M1 MBA than to get the latest and greatest iPad Pros and get hamstring by iPadOS.

when you dont have money for Apple M4 Laptop,
so you try iPad M3 lower spec wish it become an alternative.
actually iPad M3 can get iPhone Function then it is superior to iPhone.
but it cant even replace iPhone nor Laptop,
a nobody sandwich.

Ah yes, more powerful stuff with 60hz screen, horrible file management system and scandalous storage and Ram pricing.

When the base iPad gets Apple Intelligence, the iPad Air is kinda losing its value, considering the base iPad will also have 8GB RAM, and basically runs the same software and apps.
So I'm guessing Apple would either increase the price of the base iPad to make it easier for people to step up to the iPad Air, or make up more software locked features that only work on the M powered iPads.

[deleted post]As overkill as the chip is, a 599 price here is actually quite reasonable here. It's just the 60hz that's the big deal breaker.

I bought an Air M2 last year, it's a fine device but clearly the M2 chip isn't used anywhere near its full potential.
Apple just keeps hashing out spec bumps to keep prices where they are, but these tablets need a modern OS (they know how to make it happen, but they're afraid it will eat into their notebook sales).

[deleted post]Agree.
For the price and power they have, iPadOS is pretty poor as tablet experience. It's pretty much phablet iOS at this point.

That is something the entire low end phone market could use tbh. Sick of Helio G36 and G81 (but especially G36).
