Anonymous, 03 Feb 2025You believe Apple? LolNot at all, but I didn't specify it on purpose to avoid conflict with delusional fans. One of my earlier comments attributed to Apple as well.

jiyen235, 24 Jan 2025damn but i'd say you're the exception and not the... moreOne thing to notice is that, if a tiny manufacturer, not even a hundredth in size could achieve outstanding durability, at a significantly lower price point and a limited choice of materials at the time, why can't a newer phone from the largest brand in existence make a durable phone, at least for the majority who can afford that?
Also, people should understand that "premium materials" are neither synonymous with "craftsmanship" nor "durability". Glass, ceramic, etc are fragile, after all. There are numerous examples of plastic phones that ooze both craftsmanship and durability.
P.s.: Gupta Information Systems' durability tests make sense for those phones that don't appear in JerryRigEverything's channel. All those tests debunk both marketing lingo and claims, lol.

My S22 Ultra has a handful of hideous scratches and the metal parts are a little scuffed even tho i haven't dropped the phone at an angle/on its sides. And the back side's color has spots too. So much for #Samsungquality. Never trust anyone who says their Samsung/Apple phone is perfect after 2 years+ of NAKED use (excluding the usage of a cover). I thought we have had enough improvements in durability and stuff to be able to use it naked but nope, i fell for the hype.

The rectangular design of the phone body with "small rounded" on the four corners recalls me the body design of ZTE nubia gaming phone. It is so nice and I am of course dreaming of buying it. The denial only comes from the current size of my wallet that filled only by my identity card and small amount of money.
Speaking about hardwares they put on it would not have any complaints. They will surely avoid the use of Emmc storage.
As for the screen protector that have been discussed by many people here were recommended to be used to get another shield over the default screen protector made by Gorilla. And I in this opportunity will also recommend the use of protective case as a phone fashion because there are protective case manufacturer has it with nice design out there.
To conclude, no Emmc, no affordable price of course as usual.

I'm still more interested in knowing how the Gorilla Armor 2 will resist to daily-use scratches. My phones rarely fall on the floor and I never liked cases or screen protectors on my phones as they're gorgeous without them.
However a long time ago when phone manufacturers didn't pay much attention to this, my phone suffered some scratches that bothered me (Nexus 4 and Xiaomi MI 9).
The phone screens have evolved a lot in the past 4 years, so I might opt to use the new S25 Ultra (pre-ordered one for me) without cases or screen protectors considering the new Gorilla Armor 2.

PeterThePanda, 23 Jan 2025Lol. Lab tests under their controlled environments. Now ... moreYou know their durability claims are lies when they use a lot of hidden and undisclosed terms and conditions, and of course, their "controlled lab environments" which are designed to turn the results in their own favour

No matter how much they advertise this glass as durable, it'll break. So just use a case, because there is no warranty on a broken screen

The polished aluminium back panel does have minor scuffs though, but not noticeable, unless a torch or light is directly held toward it.
