In reality, most people avoid ... moreIt's not because of OnePlus, but it's a Samsung display issue they haven't cared to resolve since the pandemic. And to make matters even worse, the Galaxy S series of phones since the Galaxy S20 suffer from a rainbow mosaic effect on the display when HRR is turned on/set to adaptive.
Notice how Oppo Reno devices from the same company as OnePlus, haven't had any green line issues (ignoring how underwhelming that phone was for that price). Same with the HMD Skyline, Nokia X30, Honor/Huawei numeric series and a handful of other phones that don't rely on Samsung for their displays.

Remember greenline, remember OnePlus,
Flop sales. Greenline. OnePlus.

I'm a sucker for small phones and the vanilla S-series are the smallest androids you could get right now. They're more compact than the pixels, xiaomis and other 'compact' flagships. But the price is just not right. I'll very likely get the S25 - once the price drops to $500 equivalent. That's something I have been doing since long. S7 - released Spring 2016, purchased Winter 2017. S10 released spring 2019, purchased Winter 2020. S22 released Spring 2022, purchased Winter 2024.

I will definitely buy the s25. I currently have the s23 ultra but I will not get another ultra. Im fed up of the bjg size so I will have to get the base s25 256. Samsung should create a s25 ultra spec but on a 6.2 screen like apple does with the pro and pro max.

i'll only get the S25 Ultra if it's 600 dollars for the 256 gb or 700-750 for the 512 gb model, that's IF i was getting this phone. Considering the fact that i could've gotten an S24U before trade in discounts for 1000 dollars, this should be a no brainer for people.
Wait for 2-3 months, get a trade in discount. That's the only way to get this phone. Otherwise you'd be a chump.

I dunno whats got in to samsung they must have serious problem in the head, for me It is not an upgrade but a downgrade since s23U, no increase in Battery capacity since 5 years ago when all competitors Ultras has at least 6000Mah'..... now imagine if they increase the battery capacity it would have been King because of the ONE UI software better efficiency than the Chinese competitors.
Drop the Bluetooth S-pen, which genius in the world thought it is an improvement, even if I rarely used it there were times it was beneficial to have.
Reduce the RAM from 16GB to 12GB from S23U to save a few dollars is a joke when customer paid top dollar for the devices, can you even argue lower RAM is beneficial and to whom?
Lost the 10x zoom in S23U higher zooms above 30x as they are blurry even on the 50MP 5X Zoom only since S24U unit.
Only minor upgrade copying Apple footsteps with yearly iterative single minor upgrade to Ultrawide cameras from 12mp to 50mp with minor improvements pictures for the ultrawide. All the rest are just marketing BS such as AI which I rarely even use.
Samsung just lost its way and and instead of REAL upgrades to win customer they are trying super hard to lose customers via self sabotaging with downgrades that does not even make sense to anyone. I dunno whats in their head's at the Mobile division, except copying Apple with the Slim version (well Apple got one we gotta have a slim one as well eh) when few serious user will not even bother to get one, especially with a smaller battery.
Seriously Sammy....I just gave up; Since having S23U been trying to upgrade but your actions tell me not to bother at all with S24U and S25U :((

To be honest, the vanilla s25 is still my favorite phone, if only i could afford it.
As much as a fan turned into hater i am for Samsung, they still make great compact phones. It's thin and light and pretty. And that's all I'm about.
I can happily trade smaller battery for more thin, light and compactness, slow charging with better software and dex, and slightly inferior cameras (except selfie) with longer software support.
These are in comparison with xiaomi 15, which i also love.

I still prefer smaller phones, still using my now-over-five-year-old S10e. If the S25 didn't bump up the RAM, I was going to just bite the bullet on an S24 this year, but the RAM upgrade has me leaning towards the S25 instead. Probably will upgrade to that later this year when it goes on sale around Black Friday or so.
