A new-look Ultra, same old S25/S25+, and now an Edge.

This is what every company is doing with its flagship phones. They're just refining each generation and not making any improvements.

In this way if you compare Galaxy S Ultra flagship phones 5 years apart you'll see a huge difference. You can compare Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Ultra and you can see that Samsung has came a long way but it doesn't feel like that if you compare each generation with the previous one.

    all other phone makers making their phones better, but Samsung has become so indifferent to their customers that they think everyone will buy their new products like hot cakes. S25 has no upgrades whatsoever, apart from the SoC of course.

    No better telephoto cameras 3 years in a row! They even made the 10x telephoto a 5x (s23 to s24). Removed s-pen functions! Why even buy their phones anymore?

      Doesn't the S25 Ultra look like the sony Xperias of old? Especially 10? Back in the day, the reviewers said they looked ugly, no?

        The S pen downgrade is really sad. Couple that with the useless pre-order bonus unlike last year's and my enthusiasm for the S25 Ultra has died down quite a bit.

          Waited, but it seems like I'll be getting the 24 Ultra. Heck, the 23 Ultra doesn't look so bad rn.

                It's not even a hot take, the S25 series has nothing substantial to warrant the price, this is the absolute bare minimum they could do to pass as an incremental "upgrade" and that's crazy imho.

                  Its not a hot take. Samsung lost its touch.

                    Truthfully, samsung's shots were sharp enough and sensor size is the same, so being pesimistic wrong.
                    Real difference will be with hi res shots vs low res in old phone.
                    But that mostly all what you will get besides some AI fun.

Pretty much the ONLY reason I am getting an S25 is because it is the only widely-available compact flagship (i.e., a device no wider than ~70mm) left offering long software support.

                        Cancelling the small S25 variant when Samsung offers only giant models of all their other models would be a huge mistake!

                          What's keeping me from buying S25 Ultra is that you pay a ton of money and you get an mediocre camera performance. Very disappointing and shameful.

People imported Redmagics, Nubias, Pixels an... moreMy main device is an imported phone as well, but most people don't import phones due to warranty and potentially costly repairs(every high-end phone's repair costs a lot), they are simply scared to send back a device if it needs to be sent back.

                                      Still its a too many samsung but is way better than year 2018-2018 where we had all from A01, A10, A20, A30 etc up to A90 and then S line series.
                                      By the way back then A80 were most interesting with its rotable camera.
                                      But like push up selfie samsung gave up to ths too which is a shame.

                                        I don't really the S25 series selling as much as the S24 series
                                        The S25 ultra's pen lost Bluetooth so this phone lost what made stand out in the phone market
                                        S25 and S25+ are just copy-paste of last year with this year's snapdragon processor (that's a good move but not enough to convince people to buy these phones)
