Go for a Samsung or iPhone then but if you're gonna complain that their camera quality might be slightly worse than a phone specifically for photography then don't complain about the camera island. It's that simple.

          Or, maybe, those ""normies"" don't feel like having to jump through hoops to get the latest and greatest OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi etc and having to deal with all kinds of custom ROMs, alternative app stores, apps, frequency bands, warranty issues that may up rear their ugly heads, and want to go plug&play out of the box. If you want to go the official, supported route then the choice is usually limited to either the flagship version from Apple and Samsung, or a second fiddle phone (be it a next-in-line Pro version or flagship from a sub-top brand) from, a.o, the aforementioned brands. And since ppl do have a tendency to wanting to buy the latest and greatest, the (somewhat) lesser known brands tend to get overlooked in favour of Samsung and Apple, especially when e.g. a Vivo or Oppo decides to simply not release their Ultra versions, or even worse, differentiate even within the Ultra versions and releasing the lesser specced version as the ultimate Ultra version internationally. That won't help at all building some market clout. So like I said before, major props for Xiaomi for releasing their Ultra version outside of China as well.

            Anonymous, 24 Jan 2025No reasonable person would buy a 5 year old smartphone from... morenot really, most people don't care about the features or anything, all that matters is the samsung name. it is indeed reasonable for someone ignorant to buy Samsung as it's the only alternative (considering the popularity/brand image) to Apple. Reasonable for normies essentially, in other words they're like Apple users but instead of iPhones they use Samsung phones.

              HyperOS it's like MIUI with some extra layers of trashware and AI crap on top which explains why it's so much worse than MIUI in terms of performance.
              You should try the older MIUI phones to get an idea how blazing fast a Xiaomi device can be.

Samsung have same camera rings 4 years in a row.. and I'm s22 Ultra user but Samsung sadly got very boring with the same camera tech over and over.. s25 Ultra is a good phone but nothing special.. the AI stuff for me are more gimmicky..
                I am a camera lover also 5000mah 45w charging for 5 years not cool at all.. have to say goodbye to Samsung still love my s22 Ultra

                    samsungs innovation has been software tweaks mainly in each itteration camera tech is still same . wherease xiaomi gives a superior camera experience

                      I see no different between this phone and xiaomi 12S Ultra. All phone have similar ugly big camera island.

                      Maybe its the same xiaomi phone after all since 3 years ago.

                      Looks like chinese brand never learn from the flop sales of their flagship.

One UI is buttery smooth and has tons of customisations and looks clean. One UI 7 is even way polished than 6, now with vertical scrolls in app gallery as opposed to last year's horizontal scrolling. One UI outclasses MiUi. But like I said, MiUi has changed to hyperOS. Look at reviews from MrWhosetheboss or MKBHD. A lot has changed. It has all changed. They've also ditched the square app icon. It's like a fusion of iPhone and Google pixel.

Bro, there are over 10 major android phone companies dishing out tons of phones this year. There's plenty of choice. Oh...                                   Both ran just as fast (in bechmarks the S20U had better numbers but whatever). Camera was better in the Xiaomi though

                                        Meanwhile you said power hungry. Take care to study the screen technology Vs Samsung's.
                                        And if you want to see Sam for who he is, study their Fold Vs Vivo and Xiaomi fold. See the difference. Like I said, we don't buy Xiaomi over Samsung because of loyalty or cost. They're usually same price. I've seen Apple's offering, same phone, minor changes, low charge speeds, marketing Ai as if it was a hardware. Same with 2days old S25 ultra. Vivo, Oppo, One plus and Xiaomi are cracking the ceiling.
                                        Reviews are comparing S25 Ultra and 16 pro max Vs Vivo x200 pro and Xiaomi 15 pro. Imagine what their ultras will be able to accomplish
