Akarius, 28 Jan 2025Oh, I wholeheartedly agree. I said this as Samsung user - w... moreI have 67W charger on my phone and i think that is already charging really fast. There is no way for me to save battery life cause it charges up max 100% before i notice it. Even tough i start to charge when the phone drops under 20% cause it annoys me when it gives notifications to me that battery is low. My last phone had 18W fast charging and even that was ok speed for me.
And i do agree you on that as the 45W is to slow on the prices the phones go for and to be flagships like S class. It's still ok for middle class but not for their flagship lineup.
Especially when Chinese budget phones already have it like standard to have 33W or even 67W while some have even 90W

Bobi7x7 , 28 Jan 2025And you really think people with much money care ? Ask Appl... moreCalling people poor shows your arrogance in others. You love to look down on other people.
And it's not a smart move to wait few months in hope the price drops for a middle class smartphone. You already have lost few months of support for the phone cause of waiting the price drop. Never mind that it be still over priced as heck. Do be honest i think that the price is not even equal drop for the few months of software support. Support starts from the day of the release of phone and ends to all that model on the same time so the later you buy the phone the less support you get.
And talking about rich people who have so much money that they dont look price then these people buy new phone every year cause they want to be up to date with latest technology so for them they dont even need more then 1-2 years of support. And for sure these people wont buy the middle class phones like A series.
That also dont make sense on your part to look down on people that they are poor but then you need to wait few months so the price drops.

pl2rts, 27 Jan 2025I dont find anything weird about it. Samsung is very old br... moreOh, I wholeheartedly agree. I said this as Samsung user - what you said is the main point for me to keep buying their phones. Their repair center coverage is far better than anything China throws at my local market, and that is an important selling point to me. I had my S24U screen replaced 3 times already (once because of an accident and I paid for the screen, then it was a series of faults not induced by me) and although it may sound like a horrible experience, every time they accepted the repair under warranty with no fuss, fixed it the same day and even went an extra mile doing something I cannot officially talk about, but what was very much appreciated. Would I get the same experience from Oppo? I don't know, but I have doubts.
So yes, I still choose their phones.
HOWEVER. Bumping the charging speed really wouldn't hurt. I'm not saying to engage in the stupidity of increasing charging speed to some ludicrous values that will fry your electrical grid at home. 120W is plenty, 160 is extreme, 200 is ludicrous. But 45W on an Ultra line in 2025? I don't think that cuts it anymore.

And most of the alternatives are already way above 45W btw.

Akarius, 27 Jan 2025If that doesn't show how far the "top" of th... moreI dont find anything weird about it. Samsung is very old brand even in mobile phones so they have their loyal fan base that know and trust the brand.
The long term software update support and have decent middle class performance be enough for majority of people and even for people who want to play games on the phone too.
And if a large part of the customers have used Samsung for a decade and have not had issues with it then why change brands to experiment ?

Samsung will probably give the base S26 45W charging next year.
I also think the S26 Series will adopt the A56 camera design. It wouldn't be the first time that an A-Series device gets an updated design before the S-Series. I remember the A8 2018 got the fingerprint underneath the rear camera design before the S9. The camera cutouts of the S25 covers are already resembling the A56 look.
