The phone is for sure better than s24u but there are no major differences to upgrade. But if you have s23u or another brands 2 years old flagship device, I believe it's worth to upgrade. I have a Xiaomi 12T Pro and it is really an upgrade for me. I've read the comments but no one mentioned their marketing power and dominance of the market. I live in Australia and all big carriers only have Apple, Samsung and Google phones to offer with plan. So if you want an Oppo, Xiaomi or another Chinese brand you need to pay in full. Another thing is, Samsung website gives quite good discounts for the s25u (25%). I was planning to get Oneplus 13 but when i have the discount and memory upgrade from Samsung, price is nearly same. Also Oneplus claims that the phone will only work with Telstra. Samsung website also provides 24-48 months payment options with interest free if you have a suitable credit card. So even though I prefer Oneplus or any other Chinese brands device, Samsung have a lot to offer and I've ordered mine. So selling numbers are not only depends on the tech specs of the phones. That's why Samsung sells millions of devices every year.

Nameless, 28 Jan 2025Today I had one in hand in the store. It felt very nice on... moreI also went to store and spent 1h trying S24U, S25U and few others.. S24U indeed has sharp edges that are not so comfortable (without case ofc), but ultimately is a great phone.
S25U.. difficult to describe it. Build was nice, back was somehow weird as a material, but nothing bad.. just interesting. Not glossy, neither matt... something interesting..

Phone didn't feel big.. same as A series imho

I couldn't get spen to work as i use it on galaxy tabs at home, sadly.. perhaps due to missing bt... Holding the button pressed and hovering the spen over text did nothing... And writing on that screen size felt somewhat..a hassle.. it's too small to use the spen for writing text imho, but that's my opinion. I'm used to tablets with spen after all.

Did few photos in the store..tbh i did not see big difference between s24u,s25u and a55 next to them.. all 3 provided good photos for my usage.

Oh, screens - A55 is considerably worse than S24u and s25u! The s25u seems the best of all, although s24u isn't bad by any means. Just imho s25u was bit better.
I didn't feel flickering or eye strain. It also had right color temp..Something i immediately sense on a55, that's the reason i don't want a55 (we have it at home, i can't use that brick with that screen and form)...

Speaking of form and size - it didn't feel heavy or bulky. Although it has exactly the size of my old A52s with a rubber case on it..

All in all not a bad device, will probably get the attention of people, used to iPhones. For me..idk, did not find enough "flagship" to justify the purchase. Or maybe I simply don't need a flagship... ;) ymmv

Bottom line - device isn't bad at all, build quality, software, features advertised are there and working. I didn't spot a weakness or something bad.. but it's too similar to A series.
So go and try it for yourselves, if you are interested.

Today I had one in hand in the store. It felt very nice on hands ,actually. Good craftmanship, nice shape. Earlier I was really thinking to buy it, when it's out. But I won't. There are some minor things I don't like what Samsung did with it. But the meanest thing is it's the same freaking phone from the last year in different shell and with some removed features. Since I need a phone anyway, I've decided to leave Samsung after many years.

DarlingYuck, 28 Jan 2025Even without you buying one, Samsung still sells 40 million... moreThe stupidity of people is well known, especially when they operate like a flock of sheep. If you think that because it sells a lot, it is a confirmation of what it offers, then obviously you are one of those sheep, that whatever this company offers, you will run to buy it, which is what Apple has been doing for years, something that years ago, when we had a different and innovative Samsung, it mocked its policy and what it offered... so you ran to buy a device that they put in a nice wrapper to whistle at, indifferent to the essence...

DarlingYuck, 28 Jan 2025Even without you buying one, Samsung still sells 40 million... moreAren't you worried that since you started recommending Chinese phones to consumers here, Samsung won't be able to sell 40 million phones this year either? Otherwise, I'm happy for you that you settled on Itel, they're much better than Samsung and you obviously realized this fact quickly. 🤣🤣

sdkk, 28 Jan 2025Thanks for the advice, but it wasn't necessary. I don&... moreEven without you buying one, Samsung still sells 40 millions Samsung flagship minimum per year.

OnePlus maybe needs 172 years to reach exact same number of sales, thats only if they use good Samsung display. Without samsung display, maybe OnePlus needs longer 300 years of sales.

Based on statistic, most people prefer flagship with samsung display like iPhone, Samsung, Xiaomi, Pixel, etc.

I have seen the phone in the store and upgrading S25 Ultra from S22 Ultra.
I felt it better compared to the S22 Ultra and only concern is the pen which lacks the bluetooth :(
