The reason I loved the note series was everything in it especially the Spen. They've removed so much now including removable battery and adding memory to it via card but the last hurrah would be losing the s-pen! This is what sets it apart from other phones. If its gone, I will never buy another Samsung as long as I live. Don't be cheap! These are hard times. I speak for everyone I know who also have changed from an IPhone many years ago, to the note series for the Bluetooth pen.

ht1g09, 18 hours agowithout the stylus, samsung ultra is a run of the mill phon... moreSadly not that easy. There are plenty ot styluses out there and many are precise and usable on any phone..but.. no noone is like Wacom. Also without proper software..
For handwriting recognition in multiple languages I still can't find SNotes replacement..
I don't think they will remove the stylus from Ultra, it's just that they went in milking mode this year. S series, foldable series (according to leaks so far) and most likely A series too (if it comes out with that underpowered soc). All are kind of old one, but slightly nerfed.

No s-pen = no Bluetooth = less radiation = less mutations on a cellular level.

why the hell nobody mentions how important the S-Pen is for editing photos ??????? LITERALLY, I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYONE MENTION IT !!!
it's simply a game changer when you need to fine tune images like artifacts, imperfections, or even pimples in the faces. other than that, it really comes in handy for other uses, I can't imagine having a primary phone with no S-pen, as I carry two phones ( note9+s23u) with me

There could just be compatible cases for a pen holder to add to any phone like a normal earpiece or usb accesory pocket. So then we're taking about a subset of the case and peripheral market, not a make it break flagship feature. It would benefit tho and all can drop it or add it how they choose.

I have a Magsafe case for my S23 Ultra with a strong magnet and the S pen works fine, but I also have a super strong Magsafe that does interfere.
