Apple releases iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 with Apple Intelligence tweaks

With this release, Apple Intelligence will be enabled automatically for new users as well as those upgrading to iOS 18.3.

If you don't like AI because you consider it a threat to your privacy, then you can't use free email, GPS, social networks etc. Actually, you can't use the internet at all.

      updating a 16pro recently here on trial coincided with the cameras refusing to show anything other than a vague tonal view for up to 5 secs when, of course, you would have missed that photograph you turned them on to take! This was the case with camera open, on, and with your lens of choice there as well. Even ensuring it kept the settings from last time when turned back on made no difference at all, and often it would not take a picture at all because that jammed-on blank screen would not go away. We tried completely redoing it via Apple's tech help site on the phone, by deleting everything and redownloading it again, this time through a wired connection to a Mac PC, but that did not change anything, & I was about to return it in despair when the 18.2.1 update came and updating it the same WIRED way (do not update wirelessly!) cured that problem. It works fine now, but I am too scared to go 18.3 in case it happens again and with all AI messing up a gizmo with half the onboard ram it needs (like the M4 Mac Mini, Apple?) that IS likely. What bugs me most about the iPhone is that everything is on by default. It takes HOURS to turn off each and every thing you do not use and the Ai to save battery life etc. So much better to supply it properly boxed as well with a written easily understood [precise manual, but that said its great to have the very good cameras, great panoramas on all lenses, and the options of HEIF, Pro-Res Jpeg Xl lossless, lossyetc. That said the HEIC files can only be read in Photos with the rest of the new options - check your editing softwares- and the HEIC results drain the colour from your shots and you needs must pump it up again. And I experience better quality detail from the old-fashioned jpegs.

            Unlike Android with permeant AI functions that can't be turned off 🤣🤣

              I just got the 12 mini and also got the uodate. No A.i. features so I'm happy 😊

                  I know I never experienced that particular issue. And I had a device running iOS 18 for 3 months, longer than the usual review period.

                    WHAT?! iOS had such an issue and No one, really NOONE mentioned it so far and NO site/journalist/tech person said anything about such GROUNDBREAKING bug?!?

                    If the other reviews are like that, man , what are we doing here?!?

                      Apple once again reminding us that Apple Intelligence wasn't and still isn't ready for primetime
