notafanboy, 28 Jan 2025Smaller artists need to work harder.Don't buy our music if you don't like it. Great artists don't use Spotify

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2025Or just store music locally :) just like the (not so) old daysi do store music locally and play them for doomsday scenarios which can happen anytime.

Music artists are overpaid anyway that's why I pirate.

                Spotify in Q1 made 3.5 bil , Q2 3.8 bil , Q3 4 bil and Q4 around 4.2 bil
                Total: 15.5 bil
                10 bil goes to artists
5.5 bil goes to the industry itself.
That is outrageous. That means they can literally buy another music service worth 5 bil and still have 500 million to pay it's workers, managers, bosses, advertisements etc.
Who gets those 5 bil ? Nobody knows *wink wink* (totally not the owners pockets and investors)

notafanboy, 28 Jan 2025Smaller artists need to work harder. It’s funny how your username is notafanboy when you defend shitty corporations for paying artists poverty wages

gingermark, 28 Jan 2025Sadly they royally screw over smaller artists. Smaller artists need to work harder.
