    TikTok worldwide is a trillion dollar company. US business alone is hundreds of billions. Offering $20 bln for this is rich.

Fortunately for civilization, it looks as if Bytedance will refuse to sell and just eat the ban. Hopefully European countries will wake up to the infiltration just like many of them did with Huawei and ZTE network infrastructure, and join suit in banning TikTok.

              Microsoft cannot buy something that isn't for sale (TikTok). And they don't exactly have 3 trillion on-hand to spend. That's valuation. Microsoft's current cash reserves are at 78 billion, as of September 2024.

                    Would be pretty funny if Google or Meta get this so that we have a separate app for the shorts or something. If Microsoft gets it, it's gonna be dead within a month, the opposite of Midas's touch. If Elon Musk gets it, it's gonna have some terrible monetization. Really funny that the US is basically forcing China to sell a company for it to be allowed to be used in their country.
