They'll get to it eventually - simple price gouging till then. For what it's worth, Vivo's (and Oppo's) upper midrangers always have good selfie cams. They are not value phones at all though. Vivo is very much a pricier brand than the others, including Samsung, for actual midrange but their cameras also, are better. Flagships, and budget phones is a different case. They have a few good budget phones, plus their iQOO lineup, while their flagships are priced very well. Oneplus and Realme do not offer good selfies in any of their phones.

    Most other Chinese flagships this time around, are having similar garbage selfies - Oneplus, Oppo, Realme. Only Honor is good in this regard. Vivo has better overall back cameras than all others (and I literally mean every company in the world currently). It does not beat them in any other meaningful way. Xiaomi though isn't even competing, their battery life for flagships (big ones) is below-par, but maybe that will change with the 15 Ultra. It also helps that the X100 Ultra had a great selfie camera + great back cameras so that one was kind of an all rounder. The X200 Ultra similarly should have good selfies.

    Funtouch is decent, looks pretty dated but everything works and it's fast. Haven't tried OriginOS but it looks more iOS-styled which I am personally not a fan of.

        Yes, that one is the China only software, nothing wrong with that. The global is, FunTouch OS is great but it's more like stock android and isn't as feature rich as Origin OS is.

            Samsung dug its own grave with its arrogance & greed. Constantly poor/mediocre products (filled with bloatwares & adwares) year after year and insanely over pricing killed it...and will rot further and worse.

            Indians were and are not ready to accept and pay huge premium/insane pricing for Samsung's bloatware & adware filled phones (esp M &A series) with mediocre hardware, poor software user experience & outdated designs... and rather preferred to buy Chinese phones with hugely better hardware & modern designs at value for money pricing.

            Reg bloatwares & adwares in Chinese phones, Indian consumers had little choice of good & affordable alternatives in the market... Hence the Chinese brands thrived, due to lack of strong competition. But Nothing & Motorola have started giving them good competition.

            Samsung soon will be permanently out of top 3 in India. Samsung CEO TM Roh needs to be replaced and there has to be change in mindset, to revive Samsung. Else, is game over for Samsung in India with constant struggle.

                  Thats actually good.Maybe they wake up and do their pricing right or start improving everything.You cannot sell same hardware for 4 years and expect great results.Even Apple changes more every year than Samsung which is bonkers

                            It's better than all three you've mentioned when it comes to cameras. Plus it's just all-around better than Realme, but it's a more expensive a brand.

                                  Many Indian love cheaper chinese phone, while the flagship market still dominated by Apple and Samsung, thats why Apple Samsung are still two highest market value in India, despite selling fewer units.
