Because most people only appreciate a phone with flagship feature and flagship software. While the chinese brand can only create mediocre phone installed with entry level software and flagship SoC as bonus.

Most people dont want to spend money buying mediocre chinese flagship with software level of entry level phone.

I'm not entirely happy about the new model but it's the ONLY option around if I want something that is below 150mm tall. I honestly wish the camera was better and the charging could be faster. However, perhaps the innovation this time around is maybe getting a decent phone at even smaller dimensions than its predecessor. And I won't overlook this by no means as it's important to me.

Even Apple is moving in the opposite direction with the iPhone 16 series being larger than the 15 one. So, my beloved Note10 is now well past its prime and its battery life has gotten to the point of being too much of a hassle. I am making a very conscious decision to vote with my money and get the S15 vanilla in order to (hopefully) make it clear that we want SMALL smartphone options with decent specs! Everyone is complaining about the size of their phones but they go ahead and buy those monsters anyway and send the wrong message, so we've come to this; where there are no options for sub-150 phones, except this one and this is only in the flagship category. No mid-range or budget offerings at all at a normal size for one handed-use.

It drives me crazy to see all shorts of wacky designs, folds and flips, glyphs, etc. but no ones is willing to occupy and champion the normal sized, single-hand use smartphone space.

just open the S23 review, there you have it, S25 review xd

rizki1, 01 Feb 2025The S25 and S25+ are the same phone except for the battery.... moreBecause some people, myself included, want to read specifically about the S25, not two phones in the same review. Maybe I'm not interested in the S25+ and just want to read about the S25. Is that too much to ask for?

Oh, and powering all that is a *MASSIVE* 4000mAh battery. 🤣🤣

The only theoretical difference is if you run synthetic benchmark for an hour and maybe S25 will heat up more than Ultra. But for 99.9999% of people performance will be identical across all S25 lineup.

The navy blue color is nice, but that's the only standout "feature" about it, and those camera rings are still making it look worse than the S24. It's just a small phone with midrange specs, flagship SoC and a flagship price.

rizki1, 01 Feb 2025The S25 and S25+ are the same phone except for the battery.... morePerformance could also be different though as heat dissapation will naturally be worse with a smaller body. Therefor I think a full review of each is still warranted. There is also a big audience for these reviews and the gsmarena team will give more priority to phones that have a bigger audience. Among android phones Xiaomi and Samsung phones and maybe pixels attract the most views so these brands will be given priority. I think that is normal as it's a business after all

Pumpino, 01 Feb 2025"The Samsung Galaxy S25 is easily the go-to compact An... moreThe pixel 9 for example isn't really compact. It's taller, wider, thicker and much heavier than the s25 or s24. Asus seems to have stopped releasing compact flagships

For me this is the only interesting model in the s series as it basically has no competition in the small and light category with this level of performance for Android phones so it has a fairly unique offering. The pricing in Europe is also not that bad especially for the pre-order deal. Good to see more of the Chinese brands offering more relatively compact phones but they are all still bigger and a lot heavier than this so it still doesn't have any real direct competition
