brsdrgn, 03 Feb 2025So, you'll make argument on Samsung's behalf sayi... moreThey put on camera rings and I get it, the smaller lenses on the S24 Ultra did look kinda silly at times. And yes they aren't flush total he rear. Not only wohld that be bad because of it being an additional impact point for the glass back, it would make removing them if neccesary unnecessarily difficult. Also the battery is lept at the same size because quite frankly more isn't really needed and they also made the phone slimmer, so the fact the battery stayed the same to me is already nice. We don't get more, but also didn't sacrifice anything, despite the bigger vapour chamber taking up more space aswell. Removing Bluetooth from the S-Pen was weird since we seemingly still have the charging coil though.

I'd like to get your attention to the word choice! It's not only made for design. They chose to show them bigger! JRE even pointed that they're not touching the body on a higher location which means they'll gather dirt and dust under in time. I don't even mention those rings easily collect dust in their tiny circular criss as well in time.
I guess removing the functionalities od the pen was a design choice! Keeping the battery same also! :)
A lot of design choices nowadays. Other brands seem to be doing better design choices...

Also yeah the scratch resistance dropped slightly, but that will have a reason. As JRE also said, it may have made the phone more brittle, so they toned it down again to further boost drop resistance.

Samsung trying to show the sensors bigger instead of upgrading one.
Hardness level of the display seems to be dropped as well.

Just saw the JerryRigEverything test of the s25U and... yeah, I need this thing to sell less than half of what s24 sold so that Samsung may learn a lesson.

Narazumono, 01 Feb 2025They couldn't fit a bigger battery in there?if they did, what the hell do you expect them to "upgrade" in 3 years?

Narazumono, 01 Feb 2025They couldn't fit a bigger battery in there?who said they couldn't? they've had the next 5-7 years all planned out and until or unless some competitor disrupts the market overall, like how Vivo's doing in India, they're not going to shift from the formula.

The interior of the phone is very ugly and messy compared with Iphone or other android competition. Disappointed...
