They just need to pre activate Gemini to replace Google Assistant. They don’t need a button. People are already used to activating Assistant via voice prompt anyway.

And that something is ... moreNot trying to defend Nothing (since I won't buy their phones anyway) but I wonder in which part Nothing is an "iPhone knock-off". That camera placement on the middle of the phone, flashy glyph light, their UI that tries to avoid using blurry background. Sure, there are many things where they're following Apple's step, but there are many Chinese brands that far more looks like an "iPhone knock-off" than Nothing (Realme, I guess?).

                                    Highly anticipated by who? Influencers? Everyday consumers don't really care.

                                    Reminds me of the Smartisan phones in China while back, a lot of hype from Chinese tech circles... Abysmal sales.
