vivo V50 teasers confirm design and key specs ahead of launch

      Kirisame, 3 hours agoIt has a quad curved display that is not completely flat. "Quad curved" doesn't mean that the display has curved edges. It's a marketing term for 2.5D glass. That's why the OLED display is completely flat during disassembly.

      Also, my Nokia 8 from 2017, in modern marketing jargon, has a "quad curved 3K QLED" display, which in other words, is a 1440p quad HD quantum dot LCD with curved surface corners.

          Even the V40 has 1.5K screen and not FHD+, how certain are we that V50 has an FHD+ screen? (Not that I mind, I use FHD resolution on V40 anyway)

            Vivo X200 Ultra is expected to launch in March in China and be available in Europe in May via external sites. Vivo V50 is same as V30 with just added Quad Curve Display, Zeiss Lens, Bigger Battery 6000mAh Battery (which is actually 5780mAh/5820mAh Battery) and IP69 Certification as 7 Gen 3 is been there since November 2023. At least Vivo could have gone with 7350 or 7+ Gen 2 Processor which could have matched with V50 Status on Vanilla and 8s Gen 3 on V50 Pro.

              Vivo X200 Ultra to launch in March in China and be available in May via external sites. Vivo V50 is same V30 just increased Zeiss lens and Quad Curve Display and Bigger Battery which is actually 5780/5820 mAh which is typically 6000mAh. Why bother to buy if Vivo Can't Provide new tech in it when Keeping 7 Gen 3 since last 3 Generations. It's there since 2023. I wished Vivo could have moved with 7350 or 7+ Gen 2 in this device.

                      but vivo should launch the Pro version of it, which is the vivo s20 pro with its Periscope zoom sensor
                      Today a cell phone without a telephoto lens or a Periscope sensor doesn't catch my attention

                            Wow, the article is really pushing this as if it’s a new phone, ignoring the V40. This is literally the V40 with very minimal facelift.
