They need a separate browser for adult stuff? What were Safari, Brave etc doing? Are they monitored like their users are kindergarten students?

    Each country should have their own App Store, and regulated by their laws.. and perhaps reviewing the apps themselves.

    Instead of one single US company enforcing their laws and ideals onto everyone.

        I'd love to push the PS5 Pro as an affordable PC, if it means I can Sideload some Android Apps and Linux Programs. Or maybe the XSX if it could do full-blown Windows10 Pro as the operating system.

                    You're never "old enough" to consume that content. It's destructive, dangerous & have led to a lot of bad incidents. But at the same time, surveillance/censorship is not the answer. Everybody should monitor their kids or use an offline AI monitoring that automatically detects & hides nudity no matter what app/website is displaying it.

                    If you're deranged, keep your derangement to yourself & seek help.

                      Not a good look for AltStore to promote this, nor it is to play semantics to say it's "Apple-approved".
                      I guess I'll use SideStore from now.

                        I sorta get where Apple’s coming from because calling the app “Apple-approved” is a little misleading, but Apple’s statement feels concerning. With practically every big tech CEO sucking up to Trump, I really hope we don’t start seeing apps getting banned the same way books are for “indoctrinating children” (aka just showing queer people existing).

                        Also I think it’s rad as hell how AltStore PAL is donating their February Patreon earnings to supporting sex workers and the LGBTQ+ community

                          Will sideloading be possible on tvOS devices at some point? Or is it just for iOS and iPadOS? I recently acquired an Apple TV 4K and while it's great (without even having to be in the Apple ecosystem) it would be even better if I could, you know, sideload some stuff.

                            While its true that certifying the app's code does not exactly equal to approve or endorse the service offered in the app, in the same sense browsing for pornography content also does not equal to compromising security.
