"However, the sleep tracking is still quite inconsistent as the Redmi Watch 5 responds to even slight movements."

When I sleep, I sleep for real and don't have horror dreams, so there is no inaccuracy for me. Sleep tracking is really good on this device. Advanced sleep is most likely just some bs like on every single watch it is, because it's not possible to track every stage of sleep accurately.

Been wearing my device already 20 days straight, charged it once, so I have only 1 charge cycle on it, and it was a partial charge cycle, because I charged it to 90%. Currently at 10% with raise to wake, 1 minute monitoring of HR, advanced sleep on and bluetooth functionality on for 14-15 hours. Battery life is king on this device.

One thing missing on here is a calculator app, NFC would've been a good one. WIFI aswell, maybe bigger storage, as I have a few songs on there and don't really bother putting more songs as its slow. Hope for Xiaomi of making a Xiaomi watch 6 pro, so I could get that, if it has sapphire screen, if not then I have to wait for HyperOS 4 watch.

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2025How much memory onboard? Some spec's differ on this; ... moreDude what are you taking about! 16GB on a smartwatch of this price?! Thinner bezels than what it already has and comparing them to smartphones?! Do you know how much engineering and extra cost goes into making bezels as thin at the ones on flagship smartphones! And what's with the Mini LED? Why would that ever be used on a smart watch let alone of this price.
This isn't a 500$ smartwatch. It's budget one. Most of your complaints/demands are upsurd.

I honestly wouldn't recommend Xiaomi products, they are the manufacturers with the most planned obsolescence. I had a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, it turned off out of the blue in just two years, the card had been damaged. My friend bought some new Redmi Buds 4 Pro, out of the blue they sound very low, one more than the other, she had to buy others. I don't recommend Xiaomi because of my bad experience in general.

Can't they put wear os on this form factor? Why must it always be the round one?

Around 350mb on board memory. Out of which about 185mb is dedicated to music. I have this redmi watch 5. Silver colour. Very beautiful.

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2025How much memory onboard? Some spec's differ on this; ... moreMicroLED? You are way too optimistic, it's a basic cheap watch and having a reasonably bright 60Hz OLED screen is more than fine at this price point.
Regarding the memory if the hardware is the same as my Xiaomi Watch S3 then you will have around 4GB of total onboard storage, but the dedicated for music is around 2,3GB. There is one irritation limitation though, which I presume is a legacy from Amazfit watches - there is a limitation of only 60 music files you can upload even if you have more space for music. HyperOS for watched suspicionsly looks like the OS I had on my old Amazfit GTR 3 Pro and I presume it's just a simple rebrand with the same legacy limitations.

Will be to stupid to put usb c in smart watches 🤮 all the dead skin, water, dust... and the port sizes will make it ugly and sure fail device

So it's pretty much a Redmi Watch 4, but with thinner bezels, a downgrade of the glass (no longer flat, which made it much better for screen protector installation) and a ~ 30% price increase (since the 4 is being discounted to 75-85€ quite frequently in the past year).

                                  This is getting ridiculous...

If I wanted an Apple Watch clone, I would have bought one for 30-40$.

How much memory onboard? Some spec's differ on this; 164MB seems absurd, other places say it is 16GB which is sensible to store music, and run data. Even though the bezels appear to have been reduced from the Watch 4, the black ring around the display is an annoying waste of valuable screen real estate and it is unclear as to WHY they can't take the display to the edge as now evident in many phones? They should be looking to use the Micro LED display instead of AMOLED but maybe for the next iteration? There is not sufficient enhancements to upgrade from Watch 4 to Watch 5 IMHO.
