The OnPlus 13 is the clear winner here, better display, better battery and at night even the cameras are better, with better exposure.

TheoVon, 3 hours agoI have to agree with GSM arena that S2X Ultra is not the be... moreAt my age (25-35) as a person with a day job and relatively low time to really mess with things, I'm starting to find that "this is the best at X" doesn't matter at all compared to "this is pretty good in everything".
Reading this, honestly, both phones might as well be the same thing, the differences are so situational that for the casual user, they won't matter at all for 90% of the time.

I have to agree with GSM arena that S2X Ultra is not the best nor worst camera phone, but I also would add that it is for sure not the best phone at all. Just because Samsung is sponsoring and spending tons of money on marketing and whatnot else, doesn't make it the best just becaue reviewers say so.
I've used plenty enough of Ultras and other brands and Samsung in quiet many aspects is behind them with the shortcomings.
If someone's planning on buying it, do consider on what you spend the money on as there are quiet few other and better options out there as there is no need to pay for the name of the brand.

Im not going to pixel peep through 100+ photos. That's for tech tubers and their niche followers. For what it's worth, I examined the first couple of day photos and didn't see much of a difference. Samsung’s camera seems to have less of a digital effect when you zoom in on the image. That's a nice change. I also looked at a few of the 2x night photos and the Open seems to show more detail and color accuracy.
I expected a little more from the Open's 🔋. GSM's test are a little more aggressive, but this seems consistent with other comparisons. Real world use might be different, but Samsung has no need to prematurely rush their SSBs off these results.

OnePlus is a mobile company. Samsung is an electronics company. Samsung's battery needs go far beyond OnePlus'. If Samsung goes all in on Silicon Carbon, they will be behind when CATL and BYD adapt to solid state batteries. So, they're going straight to the destination instead of making a pit stop.
