I imagine you'd prefer smaller, so you're right - it's a real issue. Aside from phones like the Edge 50 Neo and Pixel 8a, which are smaller but not small, there aren't smaller midrange phones available.

Bigger screen meant as edge to edge so the phone on it's own dont get larger. So they made all the phones bigger and had nothing left in the market that was smaller.
The thing is that even in the past the compact phones were mostly all flagship phones with the flagship price while there were only few budget phones but their specs were so bad that nobody wanted them

Name me one small midrange phone that available on the market, apart from the Sharp Aquos sense series which is not available in most countries.
Yes, I'm that one minority who doesn't need big phones. I only use my phone for communication and social media after all. I already got a tablet, laptop, and a TV for entertainment and gaming.

This is a huge development, as Chinese buyers typically want large phones, and phones have been increasing in size each year (6.8"+ now).

Unless it's 5.5 inches small, I'm not interested in small phones

First Vivo with that mini naming now Oppo so next OnePlus and Realme ?
Never mind that it makes no sense the naming when it's bigger then iPhone 16 and S25

But it's good to see they make them smaller now even tough not small enough and still none in the budget to middle class where the smaller ones are needed. They can't fly with the reason that people dont want smaller phones as they would not make these 6.3 inch phones if there would not be market for it. The problem is that market have no choice other then big and bigger

So same jn5 telephoto as reno 13 pro
