What I said there was a common example. There are cases for EVERY job type where the nature of the work does not allow automation - not every level-1 agent's work can be automated, that doesn't mean it doesn't happen a lot.

clearly Elon's ai company is not doing too well. what Elon wants most is to be in Sam's position as the ceo of openai as a closed sourced company and his emails from 2017 show that. but unfortunately for Elon and fortunately for us he won't be able to buy openai.

Good old Steve Job/Apple tactics. Wait unit someone make something, then buy it or patent for it and advertise as yours.
I will never defend Musk as he is typical investor that just have good PR team, but truth is that if he would get his hand on OAI, he would probably kick out half of staff and company still would be the same...
Also I always cant stop laughing from sentences like that: "fundraising campaign that aims to double its valuation"... So basically they ask for money not to make company better, its just to make more money to invest(and make more money).

How do you propose we deal with that? - THAT is the issue.
Nobody would care at all if "AI is taking out jobs!!!" if the people with jobs being taken could easily move to something else.

If you have several guys in your staff that only downloads a few reports every day, generates a few charts with a few key-takeaway bullet points and then puts it in an email - you can very easily get rid of all except for 2 of them and have the remaining two only quickly glance over what was created for any obvious errors, saving yourself a LOT of money in paychecks.
This is an example I'm all too familiar with as I myself am in the enterprise segment, there are many others like it in other verticals and businesses.
