      It doesn't appear to have any features that make it worth buying ? It's thinner by less than 2mm, and lighter by 30g. Not very significant, and not even something anyone is really looking for in a phone ?

        Mewing Sigma, 17 hours agoGiving this phone a Snapdragon 8 Elite is a waste. Why not ... more8s Elite is most stupid and unnecessary soc.
        Basically the 8g3 without one core.
        Not based on 8 Elite ..

          Worry about the battery life and heating. Honestly this phone's specs and aim is just silly, it's like it was only made to beat Apple at their own game and not to provide value to customers.

            performance = more heated soc

            heat = throttle
            performance > throttle

              vs soc inside a thick chassis.

                Mewing Sigma, 17 hours agoGiving this phone a Snapdragon 8 Elite is a waste. Why not ... moreDimensity 8400 is pitiful to be called expensive flagship but yeah they should definitely add a downclocked version of the 8 elite unless if Samsung is already down clocking the living hell out of it

                  Do I have to carry a nuclear power plant around with me to constantly charge it?

                    It makes sense that the scores are so low, thin device with nothing in it, no cooling or anything just the top tier chipset paired with a small battery. This thing will almost never perform as it should with such a powerful chipset, thus it's basically a scam.

                      Mewing Sigma, 17 hours agoGiving this phone a Snapdragon 8 Elite is a waste. Why not ... moreFair enough, but then people would complain that it doesn't have the 8 Elite like the other S25 members. And I also doubt that Samsung would've priced the S25 Edge below the vanilla S25 in any parallel universe, which would've justified an 8s Elite or D8400, especially after all this fanfare around it.

                        Mewing Sigma, 17 hours agoGiving this phone a Snapdragon 8 Elite is a waste. Why not ... moreBecause 90% of users have no clue about this phenomena. Most recent iPhones besides the 16 throttled heavily below half their performance and dimmed the display to unacceptable levels. Yet people still bought them because they featured apple Ax CPU and it's the fastest on the market.
                        I used iphone xs, and in my country, summer got really hot 35+ C°, the phone was useless in summer, i couldn't do anything besides basic web browsing. The phone lagged, froze or crashed after 5 minutes video calling, gaming or streaming HD videos. I noticed the same for iPhone 11 and 13, but the latters ~50% throttled performance was still acceptable

                          Giving this phone a Snapdragon 8 Elite is a waste. Why not give it something like a Dimensity 8400, or 8s Elite? This phone is definitely going to throttle because of how slim it is. Didn't Samsung think of this? Or are they just so focused on filling the bag, that they forgot?
