How does the inner screen hold up under the pressure of a fingernail? Sales of foldables is dropping... no matter what ANYONE says! They are overpriced and far too fragile! Until, and unless, the OEM's can invent a new foldable material that is AT LEAST as durable as the average slab screen I see this type of phone going the way of the Dodo Bird!

JimmyTheGreatest, 12 Feb 2025It depends on where you live, but you have a point, though.... moreJeans or any cotton pockets small pieces of cloth in the due to movement or daily washing. These tiny fragments can get into the hinge and gradually cover the mechanism. People often think about sand or construction dust and ignore this issue.
It is always to any electronic device away from direct sunlight or extreme cold for long period; it is a good protection measure as well.

Chip, 12 Feb 2025And the Samsung lovers will still close their eyes in front... moreOppo had a 5.3% market share in China. That is the second least sales amongst Chinese book folds. Only above Techno. They had to drop their flip lineup. So Oppo needs to convince people in China to buy their folds before they worry about Samsung.
There is already a growing speculation there may not be a One Plus Open 2.
The game here isn't to just play musical chairs with the current foldable market share. The idea is to bring in new customers. That's what Oppo should be focusing on.

And the Samsung lovers will still close their eyes in front of the obvious, just like the iFlock in front of the other brands.

Anonymous, 12 Feb 2025Samsung will be terrified right nowClown statement.
Terrified of being a supplier to most of the competition with patent royalties?
Terrified of a tiny single digit of global sales compared to Samsung's own? Even with teh OnePlus sister brand that Oppo owns?
Terrified of foldable excellence that in software features Oppo/OnePlus still cannot match toe to toe with? Only 1 just 1 it can?
LMAO dream on.

Sudden temperature changes is an issue where I live and it wears off the chipset.

phones are exposed to dust more than water because there is dust in our pockets. I would expect to see some dust protection, too.

I was so hyped for this phone. But the cameras, specially the ultrawide and selfie, are a big letdown. I think I will wait until the Vivo X fold 4 launches.

They really should've put the OnePlus 13's camera setup on here. Really not that difficult to do considering how space-efficient the setup actually is. Who cares if you have to make the phone 0.1/0.2mm thicker just to fit it with acceptable cameras instead of an 8MP ultrawide like it's a 2014 flagship.
