They're simply copying Apple. You want a better S-Pen? Buy it. I don't have a problem with that as long as the overall experience doesn't suffer and is perfectly integrated.

Azu10157, 13 Feb 2025Then why buy s pen case? Make it make senseSamsung gave early buyers a credit towards accessories. It was free money. I used it for the cases I wanted and a charger, had credit left and used it on the s-pen case instead of losing what remained. Same for the Z3. I sold the Z3 accessories. I will sell all of my Z4 accessories when I get around to it.

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2025Aren't Huawei foldable phones the best-selling foldabl... moreAs of December 2024, Huawei is probably selling the most foldables off the release of the Mate X6. That will carry over a quarter or two. They were not the best sellers in 2024. Samsung sold the most foldables globally and they are already projected to do so in 2025.
Projections are just good guesses. Oppo may come in and disrupt everything off the Find N.

Duck duck, 13 Feb 2025Why ask for a slimmer phone and without Bluetooth S Pen? Yo... moreyour statement may correlate with a bar phone (8-9mm thickness) but, folding phones in folded state are like a brick in pocket even without a case. fold6 with a slim case has around 16mm thickness when folded.

Why ask for a slimmer phone and without Bluetooth S Pen? You remove accessories and you still increase the price? I don't want a slimmer phone. I want a big phone with a big battery.

Best to remove the phone and sell the empty recycled box. Little turtles will be happy.

Not surprising at all, they can only remove features because that won't cost them money, it saves them money, which sounds much better.

so... the Z Fold 7 will skip the stylus,
but I'm pretty sure Samsung will release the Z Fold 7 Ultra (or Plus or something like that) that supported stylus.

raj, 13 Feb 2025Samsung is walking into the path of Nokia.I would say that Samsung is becoming the next Intel. Intel during the time when AMD screwed themselves with Bulldozer and had to quit the CPU market till Ryzen in 2017, became extremely complacent (constant iterations of Haswell and Skylake). And even when AMD started to siphon market share from Intel, it would be until 2021 when Intel started to make sense again (launch of Alder Lake), and then lose the good will again (Raptor Lake Refresh and Oxidation issues and Arrow Lake).

I'll take a chunky phone with a fully functional S Pen over a super slim phone with little or no S Pen support any day.

... moreYou have a point.
Steve Jobs is right. Most people wouldn't be bothered with a stylus when a good multi-touch UI is there. The stylus becomes a very niche market. Another proof is, literally no other OEM is doing a phone with a stylus other than Samsung (and maybe the moto G stylus). If the Chinese don't care, that could mean the demand is too small to be worth the cost.
With the increasing cost of the SoC, I guess Samsung has to cut corners somewhere.
