Questions I have are well,
First about the Display. Is the Display here also from Samsung Eco2 OLED Plus screen, no matter that it is of a 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
Second, what about the USB C, which version is this. Without 3.5mm jack, and with the possibility of using hubs, and peripherals, and data transfers, we certainly need a better USB-C, not the pre-historic version 2.
Could GSM Arena check on these and let us know.
Very big disappointment that it downgraded the fingerprint scanner from Ultrasonic to Optical. Wet touch sensitivity matters a lot to any user, or else so much time is lost to fumbling.

Regional differences
In price of availability.
Me too , I like options.
But I don't have either of them in my country export is needed.
I did same for my Nord 3.

I'm a spec lover and lobe powerful stuff and devices.
Yeah 24gb ram or 8 elite are something that would get me bought.
But your right most people don't even use half of those power.
Waste of money ? Yes.
Do I still need it ? Yes
Will I recommend it ? To people who know what they want from it.
Honestly I'm using a cheap phone daily but I love op phones too . I have bought a nice midrange phone and I still use my galaxy a10 because chip is not demanding and its LCD phone.
My Nord 3 is fast but I don't even game much .
It is indeed for specs.
Not much to show off as I don't have friends that care.
We're all needs and they know I'm also a spec addict.
I'm always like yeah we need not these 8 elite .
And also like oh yess I love 8 elite , infact want more.

All phones should have bypass charging as a standard feature to preserve battery health.
When Bypass Charging is implemented, the “80% limit” & “optimized charging” features become useless. You can run the motherboard directly off the charging cable without consuming your fully charged battery. (This also reduces heat)
Qualcomm calls it “Power passthrough”… yet nobody is using it! 💔

How many times you actually use all the "glory" of that power
The answer is : almost never .
But still companies market us those overpriced mobiles like it will change the way we use mobiles.
Totally nonsense!
The days of flagship killers is over !
Wake-up...
They only trying to make a bit better photos and a bit more of useless gpu/cpu power and pack it for you in x2 x3 of a normal mobile .
So in the first weeks or months you show off to your friends that you have better camera's and "tag" of 8 elite
And after that you do with your phone what your friends do with a half price phone .🤦♂️

Makes more sense to get alright that as it's cheaper, has a flat screen and you can use OPPO'S official customer service whereas you can't use OPPO'S customer service for Realme

Why would anyone buy this? Like I understand that this is "the cheapest SD 8 Elite phone" but if the Oneplus Ace 5 Pro is already there and it's only 40 dollars more expensive, why WOULDN'T you go for a Oneplus?
unless you're a HUGE fan of this design. I'd much rather have Oneplus's software update policy and camera optimisations. A 400 mah battery difference shouldn't be massive considering the Si/C battery involved and since both are FHD+ instead of QHD, there's not gonna be much difference due to that either.

rizki1, 13 Feb 2025nice, it's the cheapest 8 Elite phone..It's launch price is the cheapest launch price so far but the Oneplus Ace 5 pro already dropped the official price to 2,999rmb for 12gb 256gb on its official store so on current pricing that one has become cheaper by 1000. You can also get a 15% government subsidy so the Oneplus Ace 5 pro is only 2,549rmb now in China with the subsidy (the subsidy is only available for one phone though per person so if someone has already used the subsidy for another phone they can't use it again)
