Its too late, i believe many old iPhone user (iPhone 12 or older) have already pre ordered S25 series after seeing no sign of iPhone 16 official release.

Is Apple even making enough money in Indonesia to warrant a $1 billion investment?

At first glance it seems that Indians are benefiting but in reality, its just the oligarchs who are the winners. These factories neither provide decent employment to the common Indian nor do they bring the price of the phone down for the local consumer.

As an Indonesian, the actual rule is not a big problem, the problem is the hidden cost making manufacturing facilities and maintenance ppl who give permit government permits, local government permits, unknown organizations permit, police permit, tni permits and in the road with full of piece of shit.

                      Indonesian is the biggest looser
They pay more only to enrich their oligarchs

That's mean Trump will success too

                        2.
                        If other fight back Trump
Why not America fight back Indonesia?

rizki1, 13 Feb 2025"Cupertino had failed to meet Indonesia’s strict inves... moreBoth things can be true. Anyone can invest there but they still have to follow this strict and absurd rule.

"Cupertino had failed to meet Indonesia’s strict investment commitments which require companies to source up to 40% of device components locally"

There are no strict rules, anyone can invest here... Honor and Motorola have returned to Indonesia in recent months.

"If everything goes according to plan, Indonesia will become the first country in Southeast Asia with iPhone manufacturing facilities"

Apple has also invested in Vietnam but I don't know if a facilities has been built there.
