Tecno teases new Camon models, will also bring its tri-fold concept to the MWC

Besides phones, Tecno will also launch a new laptop in the Megabook series and will introduce a couple of AI glasses.

I feel that the CAMON 40 series are basically bringing new phones with fewer upgrades over the previous CAMON 30 series.

But the change is the marketing names of the phone models of CAMON 40 series. This will look CAMON 40 Pro 5G (with Dimensity 7300) is kinda a downgrade over the CAMON 30 Pro 5G (D8200).

CAMON 30 4G* (CL6) --> CAMON 40 Pro 4G (CM6)
CAMON 30 5G (CL7) --> CAMON 40 Pro 5G (CM7)
CAMON 30 Pro 5G (CL8)--> CAMON 40 Premier (CL8)

* Also including the CAMON 30S/30S Pro (CLA5/CLA6)

Four 50MP cameras (main, selfie, ultrawide, tele) and Dimensity 8350, which is coherent with the previous gen. We can only wait until Tecno confirms.

                Un-disputed, 13 Feb 2025There's probability that at least one of them will use... moreOne leak on Twitter indicates that and Tecno already said that Camon 40 series will have a few 4G-only phones. They had three phones (one with G99 and two with G100) in Camon 30.

                The leak I mention was the Pro 4G version: G100 Ultimate, 5200mAh, 45W charging, curved AMOLED display, 50MP selfie camera, 50MP main camera and the return of ultrawide with a basic 8MP lens. A 5G variant is said to come with D7300 Ultimate with similar or equal specs of the 4G variant.

                That one with circular camera module might be the Camon 40 Premier and the leaks indicates the use of D8350 Ultimate and have a quadruple 50MP set of cameras (selfie, main, ultrawide and tele).
