rizki1, 15 Feb 2025he's funny... Xiaomi T series also doesn't have ads.Well, I'm getting hella confused here. One says it does have ads, the other says it doesn't. Can we all find common ground here? 😂

jiyen235, 15 Feb 2025what type of ads? And can you turn them off?Xiaobai goes through the 2024 flagships from all the brands here with a comparison of ads in the ui. Basically Meizu and Nubia are the best but all the others have plenty of ads. Unfortunately though the video is in Chinese https://youtu.be/T5K3q3WRcos?si=Sq47-iQaIjaS1quf. The main ads on the Xiaomi 14 ultra are in the appstore, wallet, and Xiaomi browser
You can turn off the ads but it is a bit complicated on the Chinese versions. In the English menu there is an option to disable the ads but selecting that doesn't get rid of all of them. There are videos about how to fully disable them on Chinese platforms like bilibili and there are are lot of steps involved but they can be fully disabled even on the Chinese versions. As you can see from the video though all the Chinese brands have quite a lot of ads in their Chinese flagships apart from Meizu and Nubia

TrainingAddict, 15 Feb 2025Nothing new Samsung also had ads in the interface, although... moreyeah my S22 Ultra had ads for a whole year and then one day i just was fed up with it all and turned off notifs from most of Samsung's apps. I also think i had the "promotions" thing in Galaxy Store on. Regardless, others made fun of Xiaomi for this exact thing yet i went through it as well. If any other Chinese brand did this everyone would have been up in flames but since it's Samsung everyone gives them a pass.

Aierlan, 15 Feb 2025There are ads in the Chinese versions of all their flagship... moreGlobally, they don't. I have the Xiaomi 12 and there's no kind of ads. Chinese-wise, couldn't care less. They anyways get much much better prices for all smartphones there compared to the rest of the world, so I suppose having ads in the UI would come as a trade-off.
