potato4k, 16 Feb 2025So you are whining for an upgrade of nothing, while the exi... moreWhen that's the biggest selling point of Samsung phones, and every time a Chinese phone with better hardware gets compared to any Samsung, the only counter argument is that Samsung flagships get 7 years of OS updates, yet here we are with the S24 series still on Android 14, while even 3 year old chinese phones are already on Android 15, and even Motorola has finally updated their flagships from last year.
Motorola beat Samsung at updates, the worst beat the best, yet people still talk about Sammy being the best at software updates, which they very cleary are NOT, they are simply the slowest.
I'm okay with using Android 13, or even Android 12 on my phones, but these devices weren't advertised with the best update support ever, and I didn't buy them because of FUTURE updates, but the features that they already had at launch, hardware features at that. Still, my main device which is a vivo with Origin OS, has Origin Privacy System on it, so private space, and has Android 15 on it already, despite being a 3 year old phone.

After all, the Display on the S25 Ultra which according to commenters on this site is so massively, utterly and totally terrible that it’s all but unusable, well that just topped their display ratings…..🤷♂️

In short, none of them even knew what the update brings other than an increase in the version number.

Either they are terribly greedy, since there is nothing else to tempt people to buy the 25th series, or they are terribly incompetent. Let's assume it's not the second one...

People here are complaining that their cheap budget phones of other companies already have a15 while flagship samsung doesn't. You all have to understand one thing, One UI has a lot of features, and they have to make sure all those work in the latest android version. Also, currently they are going through a UI overhaul, which means it takes longer.
And BTW, it's not like one ui 6.1 is completely unusable, you can easily live with that for 2 or 3 more months.

This is what happens when dip your fingers in too many pots, it's our mistake we believe whatever these big companies dish out, these Lilly puts are not able to in the 1st year, think about updates for 7 years. I think we should take these companies to court and demand damages. Samsung has dug its grave.

I'm using Samsung s23 ultra, I don't know why Samsung is behaving so dumb recent days in providing updates for Samsung phones and Watches. I've Samsung Watch 4 classic LTE, all watch 4 series have received watch UI 6.0 but only WATCH 4 CLASSIC LTE didn't, why Samsung why?
